Talk to me about Dole Whip....

I love pineapple/pineapple Dole Whip floats but people build expectations up to "ambrosia level" for them so it's no surprise that some people are disappointed when they first try one and it's not mindblowing. Set your expectations at "tasty soft serve" and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

My wife loves it and has to have it every trip. In my opinion it's good, but not something I would have to have every time. Thankfully for my wife we've found a little place that sells it near our place on Amelia Island, so she doesn't have to wait for our once a year wdw trips!

I love it but I only get pineapple in pineapple juice (float). What makes it good is the ambiance- sitting in the heat of a day at the BEST place on earth with your family, and slurping on a bit of tropical heaven!

I LOOOOOVE pineapple, so the Dole Whip was sure to be a fave of mine. I like that it's a more natural pineapple flavor...compared to a lot of pineapple sherbets and toppings. I even made some at home recently. YUM!

I only like the Dole Whip without the pineapple juice. Just the custard is great!

We heard so many rave reviews about the Citrus Swirl so I had to try one.. well that was a bummer! Did not like it at all. Everyone is different.. It doesn't hurt to try 1 for yourself and you be the judge.

I like the pineapple vanilla swirl. I've been eating them every trip since I was 7, so I guess it's just one of those must-dos at Disney. I do like them, though. I'm going to dive into one of those orange swirls as well when I go back.

Pineapple in pineapple is def my favorite! It's THE first thing I do when I enter the magic kingdom and the last thing I have most nights there... I have one for lunch, one for dinner and one for dessert! By far my most favorite treat in all of the world, and coupled with the adventure land music, is a personal moment of bliss

Mmmm....I love dole whips! But I don't really like the float. It is too much of a pineapple overload for me. I think what makes them great is that pineapple is such a refreshing flavor. The combination of a cold, sweet treat but it is still light. Just what I need to keep me going on a hot afternoon!

I LOVE pineapple so to me, Dole Whip Floats are fantastic. Especially because for as much as I love all things pineapple, I LOATHE coconut. And normally, they ruin pineapple by adding coconut to it. (piña colada, etc.) So I always get the pineapple soft serve in pineapple juice float.

Love normally doesn't like pineapple but he actually quite likes just the soft serve. The juice makes it too much for him since it's straight pineapple juice. He'll sometimes also get a pineapple/vanilla swirl which is also good.

I love ice cream and have been depriving me of it since October.

FYI, it is not ice cream. It is a mix of water, sugars, oils, chemicals, artifical flavors, cirtic acid for tang, and oh yeah, some dried pineapple juice.

I also give it a meh. Doesn't even taste like real pinapple to me, more like artificial pinapple candy (like a jolly rancher for example)

Yeah, I know, no coconut flavor, but there is coconut oil - I think they are trying to mess with you.

Dole Whips are the shizzle. And yes, you can get it at MK's "Aloha Isle Refreshments" as well as at the Poly and during the F&GF at Epcot with a splash of rum drizzled on top. If you don't like straight pineapple, try my favorite - pineapple and orange swirl! Yummy.

This is really my favorite snack in Magic Kingdom...didn't know you could get it at Poly so thanks for that fact. I kinda stumbled upon Aloha Isle while in the park one day and yes it was super hot outside. Much to my surprise I thought it was delicious! It's a sweet treat but it wasn't so overly sweet that it made you feel miserable after eating it! I often think that the ice cream on main street is a little too sweet after being out in the hot sun all day. It's worth a try for sure. If you don't like it, you didn't waste that much money!
