GOOD LORD!!!

If they had to deliver it on a flatbed truck the whole way, I can only imagine the cost of just delivering it, let alone the 20k bid!!!

Oh well, imo, he is one LUCKY guy!!!!!

Anyway, he's a very lucky man to have such a piece of Disney history!

I think it would be a nice thing to have, but what do you do with it. It is non-operational and can't do much. So all he really has is a monorail cab on his lawn that can only sit there. As much as I love monorails, I wouldn't want it if i can't use it.

I'm wondering how he managed to get the whole car instead of just the cab. Maybe it would have been more difficult to cut the cab off than it was worth to Disney to do.

From what I am to understand, he talked to Disney about it, and paid an extra undisclosed amount for the whole thing. (I mean, it was gonna be scrapped anyway... might as well make more money off of it)

Thanks Tyler, He probably paid them what the extra cost would have been for Disney to chop off the cab section. So Disney made money on the deal any way you look at it.

BTW what is Disney doing with the rest of Monorail red? And what about the other trains that were in storage? Why didn't they auction off the rest of the fleet in the same manner? Seems a shame to just scrap them with the history they have.
