TAFI Newsletter: April 26th, 2015

Introduction:

Welcome to the fourth edition of the TAFI newsletter! We apologize for the lack of a newsletter 2 weeks ago, it seemed to slip the minds of all of us. :D Moving on, these past four weeks have been outstanding with the whole community coming together to create amazing concepts that leave people wanting to see more. @RMichael21 's "The Sole Imagineer", wrapped up with a jaw-dropping finale that is sure to be remembered, while @IDInstitute 's "The Creator Games!" opened for signups with the first challenge being sent out on May 1st. All of this is happening while the open-brainstorming threads are stronger than ever, churning out high-quality content from the community. With 1/3 of 2015 over, we've seen new Imagineers dominate the scene while veterans come back again and again for a fun time here on the WDWMagic.com Imagineer forums!

Highlights:

@RMichael21 's "The Sole Imagineer" came to a close after the four remaining castaways battled it out after a three week final immunity challenge. After @JokersWild was voted out, a jaw-dropping twist was revealed, making the Immunity Challenge winner @IDInstitute vote out one more person. @Vipraa was the final person voted out and the last member of the jury, meaning @tcool and @IDInstitute were to fight for the title. After a lively final Imagineer's Council, the eight jurors voted @IDInstitute as the winner of "The Sole Imagineer" in a 5-2 vote!

Spotlights:

@tcool's Rehab Rally Revisited shows him reworking and revisiting his final Immunity Challenge concept from "The Sole Imagineer". Stay tuned for more! You can visit this thread HERE.

@MANEATINGWREATH 's Disneyland Australia thread is still going strong with over 250 responses making it one of the most long-going open-brainstorming projects here on WDWMagic. Everyone can contribute to this outstanding Open-Brainstorming thread and we hope to see it continue for even longer! You can visit this thread HERE.

Media:

@IDInstitute revealed a video called "The Creator Games! Welcome Address". Does this teaser have anything to do with the challenges coming up? We'll soon find out:



@TheOriginalTiki and @spacemt354 with @Sam4D23 host a the first installment of "The Creator Games" podcast where they run-down the rules of the competition, assess the cast and make a fantasy draft.




Schedule:

April 25th and running until June 30th @IDInstitute will host "The Creator Games" alongside @spacemt354 and @Sam4D23. We have a full cast of 16 and are excited for a fun time!

Beginning July 5th and running until October is The Sorcerer's Apprentice Season Three hosted by @jdmdisney99 The past to installments have brought drama, excitement and outstanding Imagineering concepts, so be sure to look out for it coming this Summer!

TAFI Announcement

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen! The time has come for a new TAFI announcement! What's the big news, you ask?

Why, it's a new TAFI website! That's right, all of the old website's information will be transferred onto a new site including even more than before!

Visit the site at:

Here's a few things:

1. In the list of TAFI members, all old members will be transferred, but if you haven't applied, apply to become an official TAFI member! Even if you aren't a member of WDWMagic, feel free to become a member of TAFI!
2. The TAFI showcase will feature a concept or a project from a member of the community. These will (hopefully) happen weekly on Sundays. If you would like to have your concept in the TAFI showcase, contact me and/or @IDInstitute.
3. The ICS Rankings have been updated with the 2015 season. (It's basically the TSI rankings with MA and I)

Needs a little work, but a good decision nonetheless.

Okay so first you need to get a new background picture, the one you have now has the watermark which makes it look bad. Next, someone needs to make a transparent image of the logo and put it where the word 'TAFI' currently is. It gives the site a more professional and personal look. The big thing for me though would be to pick a more elaborate theme, weebly has a lot of cool themes that with the right editing can look amazing.

One suggestion I have for now is on the upcoming schedule slide. I think that for each comp, there should be like a 1-2 sentence description of what it is, along with the months that it will take place in instead of season.

Alright, due to the requests of multiple people, we have a transparent version of the logo. However, due to the old logo not being able to be formatted in a transparent version, Sam had to make a new one that is as close to the old one as possible.

Thoughts?

My opinion, maybe a little bit of pixie dust above the wand and change the blue to a slightly lighter color.
