I want opinions on if I will get the value if I purchase Tables in wonderland. I have probably 3 trips with my AP. I wish I had thought about thia before. This next trip we have 4 TS set(No Dp). 5 adults 1 child. We are going to CRT,Chef Mickeys,Mama Melrose,Grand Fl cafe. Is it worth getting?

With that, yes it should be. For non DVC with the way taxes and such are, it takes just over $700 to break even in qualified food and drink purchased. For DVC it's a more complex math if you buy alcohol but it's the just over $700 in alcohol mixed with just over $1400 for food. (we get 10% off food but nothing for alcohol).

Definitely worth it. Purchase one in September and saved over $130 after deducting the cost of membership. Booked again in June when 2 adults and 3 kids will go and we will use the same card. It is more flexible than the dining plan as we would rather have an appetizer than dessert and will definitely be drinking alcohol.

Wellll - DW & I have gotten this every year, since 2012. We LOVE TIW, and recoup about $500 per year after cost with it.

....BUT - that's just us. A couple, no children. We take other families OUT. We hit a SIG every one of our 16 nights per year. And TIW or not? We tip 20% (yup we jack up the TIW portion).

If I had a family with 4 children, young, always hungry, and was on a serious budget? TIW might NOT be the best thing. Everyone needs to run the numbers, based on THEIR situation.

It also depends on how much of a discount you get with your AP. This past year Disney offered a 20% discount on many restaurants when you have an AP. It was the first year in about 15 that I have NOT purchased the TiW card. But normally, especially if alcohol is part of your routine, the card will save you money.

TiW is absolutely worth it if you spend enough $$ at TS meals.
Assuming you’re going to CRT and Chef Mickey’s for dinner, that’ll put you past spending $500 before the TiW discount. Two or three more meals after with a party your size, then you should break even.

It's been a while since we have done Tables in Wonderland. Can someone refresh my memory on how much it costs and whether one has to be an annual passholder?

We are planning on going next spring. I will have over $2000 in Disney Rewards points on my Disney Visa and I always use that to pay for dining. I like to do at least one Table service meal every day, sometimes two if we do a breakfast as well. So I can see it paying for itself on just one trip, depending on how much it costs these days.

You must have an AP, be a FL resident or DVC member.

Tables in Wonderland costs $150, so you must spend at least $750 in food/alcohol before you’ll have any savings.
