So last trip to www was in 2016 and had quick service ddp onmly res made was for BOG breakfast included in plan and minniea hollywood and dine fantasmic package which we paid for.

This year we have table (now waiter) included (cheaper to book this way as from UK before the DDP is it worth it questions arises ) I thought this was great so more variety upon booking but now starting to look for planning 180 days out (currently 224 days) and it's just a added stress wondering If I'll book tables and then no it get matching fast passes... think QS was easier !

Or wait to book ADR table service until 59-60 days out when everyone is changing plans too. No need to stress. If there is an absolute must do for specific time then just book that one and relax on rest. Especially if party size is small and there aren't any "OMG my vacation is ruined if I can't at here" places there typically will be lots that open up day before and day of your visit. We went over New Years and even a CRT reservation popped up. Just keep checking and you will likely find something that is appealing to you

Whenever making any plans I usually just throw something together when the window opens and then continually make changes in the weeks and months that follow. One day I'll want to eat somewhere and then some sight will do a review of another restaurant and I'll change my mind. No matter how many times I've changed my mind all my trips have been great. It's Disney, relax, it will be great.

The issue is that ADRs are booked 180 days, and FPs 60 days, so I feel your pain. What I've done and continue is to book the ADRs for dinenrs and breakfasts which mitigates some of the risk of conflicts. Also try to eliminate the need to park hope, i.e., FPS in MK, but dinner reservations in Epcot. That way you don't need to shell out even more money for park hopper passes. Unless of course your itinerary has park hopping built into it.

I recommend you use a spreadsheet to lay everything out that way you can see how your plans are organized, here's a sample of mine (which I stole from another member here ;) )

If you can get past the "Its so Stressful" thinking... its really not as bad as people make it out to be. Choosing your ADR locks you into a park unless you have PH's. Then at FP+ kick off, you have your ADR itinerary at hand, knowing your dining times, just fill in the FP + time choices that dont conflict. Proir to making FP+ selections, make a list of the ones you desire for each day so you are ready in advance. It does go quite smoothly.

But do you take those plans, put them on a recipe card, laminate it and take with you for each day? Then you are an organized computer geek. First time to WDW, I had a small binder with each world, stuff to do, where to eat, etc in it. Kids could flip thru pages each night or organize the next day (this was before fastpass +)

Make your ADR reservations, then base your FP around those. Make adjustments where necessary; easier done with ADR than FP at that point, but still doable. You can always cancel everything. Above all, don't stress. There's always QS, and in some ways it's better (faster turnaround for one, often cheaper).

The only ADRs I "stressed" about was ones I just had to have. For those I woke up and booked at the earliest possible time at 180 days, so here I was up at 5 am. Our big one was CRT for breakfast before the park opened and we literally planned our trip around it bc we felt it was probably the only time we would go that our daughter would be old enough to enjoy it but young enough to get excited. Everything else I booked and rescheduled and cancelled and booked as better options and times opened up. There is an overwhelming amount t of great food and amazing experiences at WDW and you have to prioritize and then relax...it is vacation after all 😉

I am so happy to see I am not the only Excel geek on these boards that has a daily plan in Excel!
Yeah, it helps me a lot to lay things out. I've been using Excel for every aspect of the Disney trip, whether to layout the expenses per resort, or map out how I'll budget and save for the trip.

I do it for all our ADRs, park days and any extras (pirates league etc). My co-workers though I had lost my mind...until I made one for them and their trips 😁

The 180 is needed to book BOG, Cinderellas royal table, sci fi drive in, and the big rest of the big name places. Just plan loosly what parks or ares you want to be in that day, unless you are getting the park hopper, then you can book ADR and FP. the only issue in hopping is planning to get from place to place in a timely fashion. I booked two months out, but only because we planed and paid only at that time. I missed getting ADRs at many of the big name restaurants, but since it was a "slower" time of the year, and we roped dropped to Character meals, we found we could get in to many of the character meals with out ADR's.
