T-Rex Lunch or Dinner

I was noticing that the menu for lunch and dinner seem the same. Are there any benefits/changes to going to dinner over lunch or are all the same things at both. I rather do lunch. I just know some places change there menu or routine for the dinner rush.

To answer your question, go with lunch for the reason that the crowds are ridiculous for dinner.

However, my advice is to just skip it all together. Went twice and didn't enjoy it. Doesn't mean you won't either, I hope you do!

Another vote for lunch over dinner. We went to TRex once, and once was enough for us.

So would rainforest café be better to most? We are just looking at one of these themed places and noticed this was the newer of them.

Try it if you've never been and if your kids would enjoy it. We've done both themed restaurants. Instead of a storm like at the Rainforest, they have a meteor shower. The dinos go crazy and the ice room changes color. It's fun. There are youtube clips on it if you want to see it before you go.
As always with both places, the food is hit or miss. We had one Rainforest meal that was the looooooongest hour of our lives with the worst food. The next year it was awesome - both food and service.
The shop is dino-themed and your kids can "build a dino" (like build-a-bear) with sounds and clothing. They'll give you a box to take them home in, too, that the kids can color later.

i'm in the minority but i think the place is a blast. as stated above it's SLAMMED at night, i've never seen t-rex not crowded. we try and just grab a spot at the bar (no kids w/ us) but even that is tough sometimes.

as for lunch v dinner it's about what you're looking for. when the place is busy, the dinos are all fired up, the energy in the room is pretty cool. but if you're not in the mood for that kind of experience (or if you do not have reservations and don't want to wait a very long time) i would do lunch. we did lunch there once and it wasn't anything like dinner, very calm in comparison, like a different restaurant.

as for food i would keep it simple like a quesadilla or something 'bar food' related. the drinks are good and the take-home glass is nice

We have found it to be a blast also! We'll probably go back on our trip later this year. I always find it funny when people make comments about the crowds. You're at Disney World, did you think no one else would be there?? lol

T-Rex was my son's pick on our last trip and I really enjoyed our meal. I can't remember the time of day we went but to this day I still talk about the guac-asaurus burger and how it was the best burger have ever had. Definitely go and give it a try.

We were just there in December, at the request of the BIG kid (my DH) and the food and service were both very good.

We have to hit T-Rex every time we go to Disney. My kids and my nephews love it. The food is pretty good and the ambiance is fun.
Now Rainforest on the other hand......one meal there was more than enough. I wouldn't go back if it was free.

Will do. I have reservations at both. I got lunch for T-Rex and dinner for Rain Forest. So we will check them both out.
