We got the TIW card last year with our AP's. There are 3 of us who always travel together. We each pitched in $75. The card paid for itself by the end of our 5 night stay. We used it again in May so everything we saved then was eactly that, savings! We're not using it next month cause we got free dining but wehn we renew our Ap's next May we will definitely be getting the TIW card again as we will have 6 people traveling with us that week.

Just remember if you can still use it on the DDP when you order alcohol or anything that the DDP does not cover. 20% of half a dozen $12 foo-foo drinks adds up quick.

Once you hit $375, the card has paid for itself. Everything after that is discount.

A family of four can easily hit $375 in two TS dinners, three at maximum, I'd think.

I always tip, so that doesn't bother me at all. Just remembers that 18% is included. You might want to give more, of course...but many people forget and tip another 18-20%. Some servers will fold the check over in exactly the spot that has you missing the reminder that it's included. I usually tip extra, but do not when they do that.

You have to be a Florida resident to get the annual billing. If you are a Florida resident you pay a down payment equivalent to a one day ticket for each AP and the rest of your total is broken up into 12 equal payments.

CRAP!!!! I am finding more & more reasons to move to Florida!!! Oh, well. I tried.

I have had TiW for a couple years now, and being a local, it's a no-brainer. I do wish they would extend it to some counter service locations. I know they do honor it for CS in Animal Kingdom and a couple resorts - but I think as prices continue to get hiked up every year for a lousy hamburger or chicken nuggets...it could be a good idea.

There's a number to call to order it. Sorry, I don't know what it is.

If you're an AP holder, DVC member or Florida Resident, it's a no-brainer.
As an AP holder or FLA Resident you can buy it at any Guest Relations. It's printed on the spot, effective immediately and valid until a year from the end of the following month.

Hope that's a misprint - if you always travel together? You only needed ONE TIW.

Sandy and I get this every year (APs). TIW, the way we eat, is absolute Highway Robbery - with us as the Highway Men :). We save in the neighborhood of $600 per year, after investment, with TIW. Our habits: two trips per year, Sig Restaurant every evening... your milage may vary, depending on where you eat.

Of course, I HAVE to say - "We Don't NEED no stinking Dining Plan" :) (Treasure of the Sierra Madre - trust me, the Bandits really DO say this) :).

YEs, that is a misprint. I meant we each pitched in $25, not $75!!

Wow, that seems like a bit of a to do, but then again I guess if the service really is that bad then I should probably be doing that anyways. thanks :)

I guess you could just cross it off the bill, and then pay the resulting amount. But if that happend, then the server would have to get a manager to approve the change to the bill. And, once the manager see it, if they are a good manager will ask you what the problem was, so they can correct it. So then you would end up talking to a manager anyway.

i think it has more to do with who can change the bill in the system as opposed to a policy about who you have to talk to.
