Switching resorts

We got in on the free dining plan and the only value resort available was All Star Music. We'll only be in the room a short amount of time but if I had a choice, I'd rather stay at Pop Century. Can I call Disney every now and then and see if POP opens up for us and switch? Fee associated w/ switching?

You can continue to call and see if anything opens up. The best bet for this would be 14 days from yesterday, when everyone's deposit is due that made reservations yesterday. However, from what I've heard ASMusic is supposed to be being refurbed in July. Therefore, you would be staying in a 'like new' resort. Also, last year the Pop was crazy because of the amount of people that were there.

There will be no fee associated with switching as long as you switch long enough ahead of time. I believe they try now to make any changes within 14 days of you traveling, otherwise you would have minor fees. However, since the deal expires in end of June you will be fine to continue trying through the end of it.

Another suggestion for getting the room that you want is maybe try asking if you got there a day earlier or a day later and then you could stay a day longer, if this is a possibility.

If you can make it so you arrive during the week instead of on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday your chances of getting what you want will definetily increase.

Good Luck!!!
