Swan's Paint Job

Not really sure if this has been mentioned before, but the Swan is currently being painted on the outside. Nothing drastic, it appears that they are just fixing some faded colors. Very little has been done for far, but that part that is finished looks 100% better! If anyone wants to donate to the 'Justin Dropped His Camera Into a Hot Tub Fund', i'd gladly take some pictures :animwink:

I noticed that a few weeks ago as well when driving around and forgot to ever mention it. The change is quite drastic. I never knew just how faded the outside of it was until I saw the newly painted areas. Being so big and noticeable, I'm glad they (whoever owns the Swan and Dolphin now) are painting it once again. Its should like very nice when its all done.

I was there (as my sig says) from Feb 11-20...I don't know if I remember seeing them painting the Swan or Dolphin, but I know it was one of them. I'm pretty sure it was the Swan. I remember thinking "Holy crap! That is sooo faded once you look at new vs. old" Seriously, the old looked SUPER old...like 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000 gagillion years ;)

There is not that big of a difference. Same color scheme, just a little brighter. Last weekend my wife and I saw a crew painting one of the bridges and it just looks a little brighter.

I think this is probably part of Disney's general "clean up" for the 50th anniversary.

At least they are cleaning up... I'm glad to see they are doing what it takes to make WDW beautiful.
Yea, you gotta give em credit for that. As long as they are making it prettyful.
