It absolutely did! It lasted for 3 months as a test run, then took it away when it first opened. I’m not the only person who knows this.

A test run???? Of a second monorail line from where to where? And when? 😂😂

The monorail opened in 1971.

The Swan and Dolphin opened in 1990. And the Yacht and Beach Club next door was under construction, opening later in 1990.

There was nowhere the monorail could have gone.

I have provided a couple of images of the S&D under construction. For clarity, I added arrows pointing to the supposed "holes" where the monorail was to pass through. As anyone can clearly see, those "holes" are not holes.

@roan1234 Are you trying to tell the good people of WDWMagic that Disney removed these large sections of these already-constructed buildings, built and tested a monorail only to remove it, and rebuild the removed sections of the buildings a few months later?

Michael Graves’ drawings also show the squares. One is on his firm’s project page. Other drawings were published back in the late 80s in publications such as Architectural Record. He also published several books that included drawings.

Irlando could be a term used to describe those frequenting Irlo Bronson.

If this is in fact true I do find it possible that many monorail sightings may have been experienced.

I could understand how a select few have encountered a monorail running through the IHOP. Possibly a Denny’s, and /or through the A&W shop at Old Town, and maybe a liquor store or a few.

Perhaps a monorail snaking through the Swolphin isn’t all that preposterous.

The only thing that regards having a monorail and monorail station is within The Boardwalk concept art. Now as to where the monorail was headed or coming from is unknown maybe it went to MGM and then behind Yaht and Beach back to Epcot. I don't think the Downtown Disney route was still in consideration by then still. I think the only reason why there wasn't a Hollywood Studios/MGM monorail expansion was all because of Swan and Dolphin. Swan and Dolphin is not considered a main Disney Resort.
