Swan/Dolphin renovations

I was just curious if anyone who has been to the SD lately has any input as far as how the renovations are going? My family and I will be visiting the Dolphin in June. We have stayed there in the past but I am anxious to hear how good (or not good) the improvements are.

Swan room renovations are done and very nice. Slightly sterile colorwise but appeals to the masses with a cleaner and more modern look. Less colorful for sure. The bathrooms are night and day better. More outlets. All around really good. Dolphin when you go will not be complete so you'll have to request a newly renovated room. Hope you can check in on the early side - that may help you. If you really want the newly styled room you may want to see about switching to the Swan for a sure thing..?

Thanks so much for the input. It's very much appreciated. We have a premium studio reserved at the Dolphin, so I'm not sure where that will be as far as the renovations go. I guess time will tell. Thank you again for the feedback.

Last I spoke with them, it sounded like a good part of 2015 will be spent on the renovations (there are soooo many rooms to get to!) but I'm not sure about when studios fall on their schedule. While they probably can't commit to a time frame, they may be able to tell you something. Have a lovely vacation! PS the cabana bar by the dolphin pool has some wonderful options for lunch. My hidden gem!

Aww! Welcome to the boards! I hope to see more posts from you! My pleasure to talk about the Dolphin with you--such a lovely hotel. I've stayed there several times and have really come to appreciate what the SD has to offer.

I have had many nice interactions on these boards with a rare unpleasant occasion among many, many nice ones. Enjoy!!
