Swan/Dolphin - Park...parking

Hi, I just scheduled a quick trip to WDW and I am soooo excited.

I have a question. If I am staying on site at the Swan/Dolphin and pay for the daily parking privleges there, can I also park for free at the parks (ie drive over to AK for the day instead of taking the buses)?

I cant wait to go to WDW!!! :)

I dont think so. When we stayed there, you scanned your room key to get in the lot and didn't get one of the paper passes like at the other resorts.

Guests at the Walt Disney World Swan and Walt Disney World Dolphin do receive free parking at the four Theme Parks. Just show your Resort ID card.

Also, Guests at these two resorts also can enjoy the Extra Magic Hour Benefit.

Hope this helps!:sohappy:

Unfortunately I just called 1407wdisney and they told me that guests of the swan/dolphin did not have free parking privileges at the parks. :(

We can use the bus etc transportation system though.

Now can anyone recommend the fastest way to get to MK from AK? Should I take a resort bus from AK to Contemp or Poly and then the mononrail?

Thanks!

JPVonDrake is in reservations and he's right, and I'm a Swan/Dolphin cast member and what that person told you is wrong. You get free parking at the parks. And yes, you can still use the Disney buses to go anywhere.

Fastest way from MK to AK is monorail to TTC and then bus to AK.

I'm so confused! lol. :hammer:

I've been hearing so many different things (even in this thread) so I called the Swan/Dolphin last night just to confirm the parking situation and the person at the hotel's main number told me we could not park for free at the parks.

Today in this thread I'm being told we can park for free at the theme parks.

So just to get word from WDW itself, I called WDW tonight and the person I spoke with there also told me that we could not park for free at the parks.

JPVonDrake (WDW) & WDWScottieBoy (Swan/Dolphin) - I trust your opinions and will hope for the best... and just show up with my room key from the Swan/Dolphin.

In any case - thank you for the help!!!

Correct. The number you called is our central reservation number, not the hotel's number directly. Therefore the people are not dealing with just the Swan and Dolphin that you called for so they don't know everything.

I can guarantee you that you get parking at all parks with your valid room key. Same goes with EMH. Just because we aren't a Disney hotel doesn't mean you don't get the benefits, you get the Disney benefits AND the Starwood ones.

If there's anything else I can help you with on the hotel please feel free to ask.

The CM's you talked to on the phone are WRONG. The folks on this board are CORRECT. You absolutely do get free parking at all 4 parks. I work at the Auto Plaza at Epcot. Just show your room key and get waved through!!

This is a great thread, we've got a Disney CRO agent, a Swan/Dolphin CM, and an Epcot CM from the toll plaza, a representive of every department involved in the original question. Nice work guys! :)

Don't you have to pay to park at the Swan or Dolphin? Perhaps that's what is causing the confusion.:veryconfu

Yes self parking is $8/day plus tax, valet is $12 for day use, and $14 for overnight parking, plus tax.

Is this new? I have never paid to park there when I have stayed at the Dolphin... There was just this door key swipe that let me in. Nothing on my bill either.

Granted the parking lot was funny... a bunch of nice cars and SUVs then my ol pickup... looked like the Clampetts came to visit ;)

I think it was just recently added if I'm not mistaken.

We had a similar experience to yours at the GF - value parking an 8 year-old Acclaim with peeling paint. Plink-a-plink-a-plink. Here comes Uncle Jed now!

It was the first of this year that they implemented the parking cost. And Steve has the three costs correct.

Just make sure you let the CM know when you're checking in if you are going to self-park or valet.
