There was never enough parking in the area to begin with. On days with major events at the Dolphin, their lots could easily be overwhelmed especially if they dropped a tent on self parking. They also never had enough space for employee / vendor parking, and occasionally people would spill over to the mini-golf lot (because there was literally nowhere else to go) and cause issues there.

Apparently once this opens the Dolphin pool deck will undergo a large renovation. They are planing for a lazy river, new bar with a more robust restaurant along with a few more hot tubs.

The spandrel between the rooms is very muted compared to the renderings which made them prominent and really pop. Combined with the random angled rooms the elevations are just looking muddied and cluttered.

Well apparently it’s still on but just delayed until this opens so they will have the Swan pool and this one but we shall see.

Swan and Dolphin basically share that whole pool complex though.

The whole project is shoehorned into the space. Not sure why they wouldn't tear down fantasia gardens and relocate to another spot.
My wife and I were recently driving in from the 429... with the cladding on, this thing is very prominent and dominates the view heading east on BVD over World Drive.
Her: “what in the world is THAT ugly thing and when did that show up??”
Me: “thats the new Swan and Dolphin tower... they’re calling it the ‘Swan reserve’.”
Her: “... but..., it doesn’t look anything like the Swan and Dolphin.”
Me: “you’d think someone would have noticed that, wouldn’t you?”
