They've done that for years. The cool stuff is the fan made items like full size X-wings and action figure dioramas. I remember being involved in building Endor and Bespin a couple of years.
Let's not forget my Ultimate Group Project for Celebration IV in LA. We built the better Galaxy's Edge long before Disney had the idea.

I am guessing alot of Disneyland after hours events will not happen. With needing extra time for extra cleaning overnight that would make sense.

Sad news for those who were planning to go, but not at all unexpected. This entire summer has pretty much been cancelled. All I ask right now is that we can still have the D23 Expo next summer. (Yeah, I know some people hate it, but I always have a blast. I can't help it, I love the convention atmosphere ^_~)
As a precaution, I suggest waiting until next June to assume D23 2021 happens.

Yeah, with the way things are going, everything is a huge question mark right now. At this rate, it's probably safer to assume that it won't happen, and then if it does, it'll be a pleasant surprise.
