Sushi in WDW

Where are the best places to get sushi in WDW? My fiancee and I are looking at some of the restaurants in the parks and the hotels, but it's a lot to process for someone who hasn't been to Disney since he was six years old. Any hints regarding the best/safest places? Even better, what should be avoided? You see. . .

:ROFLOL: <---- This, I want.

:hurl: <---- This, I don't want.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, the Japanese Pavillion's restaurant is shutting down for refurb for most of the summer, but I have heard that the restaurant at the Swan (Kimonos) is quite good for sushi.

I doubt you will find bad sushi at WDW. The only place I have eaten sushi at is the sushi bar in Teppanyaki. It's very good, I've eaten there probably over 10 times, no bad sushi there.

Does the Japan pavillion serve FRESH sushi? Or more the type you find a grocery or an inexpensive sushi restaurant? After having sushi in some places that have access to fresh fish, we've become a bit pickier with where we buy it.

Doesn't the food court in The Land Pavillion sell Sushi?
I don't eat it myself but I swear I saw some there.
Correct me if I'm wrong

Yes, it's very good. I have yet to eat something there I don't like

Yes, but it is pre-packaged and not very good.

I have heard nothing but fab things about Cali Grill's sushi.

But I can speak for Teppenyaki. My hubby has been a longtime sushi lover, and I just was not. I tried many times, but just couldn't manage to enjoy anything I tried.

Enter our trip in 2004, and eating at Teppenyaki. I got the steak and shrimp, and her got sushi, including a California Roll. He offered me some, and as I was always trying to learn to appreicate sushi, I took some.

YUM!

I split my steak and shrimp with him so I could have more.

And it completely set off a love of sushi that has not stopped since! California Rolls were my "gateway sushi), and now I love all kinds of maki and nagiri! I attribute it to finally having really GOOD sushi for the first time...at Teppenyaki!
