I agree with your points, popsicletrees, but I'm willing to root for Russell now, just because he's about the only one with any personality. Yes, it would be nice to see more villainy, but think of how dull the season would be without his pompous narration.

I like villains with actual skill in the game, too, which clearly he has. People sort of trust this guy. And he made the logical deduction that the hidden immunity idol must be in some place that can be described easily. It's not going to be buried in the sand under some non-descript area of beach. Its location has to be distinct and lend itself to clues via terrible poetry.

How about that guy on the jury who got booted last week? Bitter much?

100% agree!!!

Russell is brilliant. He's the only one who stands out. He was meant to play this game. I'll be pretty bored with the show if he ends up voted out.

Natalie's growing on me too now that she killed and ate a rat.

I am so loving this!

Russell DESERVES to win..I hope he does..but I doubt he will unless he starts winning some challenges.

So glad Laura is gone..I can not stand her at all....and Shambo is going to annoy me the next week I think based on the previews...

From what I saw it does not look like anyone knows Russell got the idol...hope he can hang on to it for a while and use it when it is really needed..:)

I was also glad to see Laura go. She was annoying (and I was sick of see her gross looking implants...haha.)

Russell is becoming my favorite player. However, I don't understand the releasing the chickens preview.

Russell is in trouble after the idol can't be used.

I think he is thinking they will blame Shambo since she takes care of them...maybe she left the latch undone?..trying to take all the attention off of him!

Three idols found, two with zero clues. Nice. And he knew enough about what was going down to not to play it this week.

From the previews it looks like everyone is turning on Russell next week. We'll see if they can pull one over on him. I hope not. I think he's letting the chickens go just to stir up drama. The more paranoid and accusatory the remaining nitwits are, the more power he has.

Good to see Laura and her snotty face gone. Surprised that her final words weren't nastier.

I'm glad the product placement was only irritating. Some seasons it's been appalling.

What a great episode last night! :sohappy: I was so glad John had enough sense to flip on the second vote. I'm surprised the rest of them were willing to take the chance on the random rock thing and risk being the one to go home themselves. Sooo glad Laura is gone; what a ! And wow, is Erik bitter and spiteful towards Galu. Russell is by far playing the best game. I would like to see him win, but I'm sure the rest of the tribe has smartened up enough to get him out at the soonest opportunity. Can't wait for next week!

Actually, now that I think about it, does anyone know if there will be a new espisode next week, since it is Thanksgiving?

I just checked my upcoming recordings on my DVR. And it shows a new episode next Thursday at the regular time.

I'm wondering if Russell will keep this idol a secret. He has told people about the other two, so his "alliance" (and I use that term loosely since he makes a deal with everyone) would probably assume that he would tell them about finding another idol. The way the previews make the next episode look it would be the perfect time to keep this idol hush hush.

Russell should have won!

The jury was a bitter bunch!

I am so glad that he won the viewers favorite though..he seemed happy about that and deserved it!

He was the player you loved to hate!
He played the best game..even after constantly telling so many people he had the idol, making so many alliances and letting it be known he had money..he still got to the finals..and not by winning challenges.

He Outwitted, Outlasted, and Outplayed

I am hoping that he will be on Heroes Vs Villians..but he would need to work his butt off to last long considering everyone will probably want him off first!

What made survivor ground breaking was the same people you vote off get to vote for the winner. A big part of the game is to not ________ off the ones you outwitted, outlasted and outplayed. IE the same people you see going up the ladder are the same ones you see going down the ladder.

That is what Russell did wrong and I could tell getting the jury to vote for him would be tough. That is where is ego got in the way.

I can't wait for Hero's vs Villians. That is a tough show for those that were unique in the game play like Russell. Everyone knows what he does so it not a suprise anymore. The little unknown going into the next season has the best change.

Should be fun

Russell celebrated way too early. Like the guy on the fast break who slows down to do a circus jam only to hit his wrist on the rim. Or the guy who after a sprint downfield starts dancing on the 10 yard line only to get caught from behind on the 5. Russell had the game in his hands. He knew it, and everyone else knew it. His hot cost him the win.

Juries like to vote for the person who outplayed them, because it feeds their own feeble egos. Russell had that. And he still blew it.

The sequence of jury questioners has always been somewhat of a mystery to me, but I sense producer tampering here. Because of the "fallen comrades" voice overs, we know the jury members are being interviewed by the producers. The producers probably have some idea what kind of question/statement the jury members are going to make. If they knew beforehand that Erik was going to make the most passionate (and even logical) plea for Natalie, they knew his words were going to be the last anyone heard before the final vote.

Natalie won almost entirely on dumb luck. She didn't really align with Russsell, because he aligned with everybody. She just happened to be the most willing and able to be his pawn. For this, she wins. Yech. Russell made a lot of great strategic moves that got him to the end. The jury recognized his game play, but needed to be pandered to, and he wasn't able to do it. His arrogance cost him.

I've seen the cast spoilers for Heroes vs. Villains, and it's not a bad bunch, though it's a little heavy on Tocantins people. I've always been a Boston Rob fan, so he'll be my early favorite.

I know...but the thing that bothers me..is he PLAYED the game..I kept screaming at the TV..HELLO!..It is a GAME people!..they all take it so serious!

I know you start to form bonds and all but you have to know..that people are going to lie and cheat and do whatever to win..That is why they are there..they are not there to make nice and have fun...and if they are they need to realize that most are not!

I know! I was so annoyed. I think Russell is probably a really nice guy in person. Super sarcastic, I'm sure. But really nice. I guess some people can't understand that it IS a game.
