Survivor: Gabon

The part making it harder on the loser tribe is that losing leads to more losing. Since most of the reward challenges involve food, the stronger tribe just continues to get stronger. Also, the stronger tribe gets to determine who should sit at which challenge, which increases their odds of winning even more.

We haven't seen too much scheming over at Kota, and the scheming at Fang has been pretty standard. So far, the only real interesting potential hero/villain is Ace.

Since Fang is the tribe that keeps losing we have seen a lot more of them then the other tribe. I just know that I don't like Randy. He is a poor sportsman. It was bad enough that Fang lost and Kota got to eat in front of them but then to make "mmmmm" sounds to rub it in is showing poor sportsman like conduct. At least in my opinion he crossed the line and then when Jeff talked to Krystal about her reaction he went "Wah, wah, wah" I hope he will be one of the first to go from Kota.

Yeah, I know that this is Survivor, but even still one should play with at least a little dignity.

I completely agree with you. Especially since Randy was originally a member of Fang, you would think he would have a bit more compassion for them. Apparently, he is just a big jerk.

Not sure what Sugar was thinking giving Ace the idol. Does she realize he is completely playing her? I agree with Scott that it will get very interesting when Kota has to turn on one another.

I like Randy. When he was a member of Fang, he kept telling them to conserve their rice because they were going to run out. Crystal and GC ignored him, and guess what? Fang is almost out of rice when they really need it.

Was it bad sportsmanship and karma to taunt Crystal and the rest of Fang? Yes. We'll see how it pans out fo him. I think a lot of his hostility comes from his experiences with Fang.

Next week looks great.

Randy was right on the rice issue, I'll give him that. But one of the things that has always amazed me about this game was how "old" tribes stayed together even after people changed tribes. It seems though with Randy he broke ties with Fang pretty quickly. You don't see that very often. I'll give him kudos for that as well, having the guts to cut ties with his old tribe and being out numbered in his new tribe. I'm just a big believer in good sportsmanship and he just doesn't have it.

You know that most likely he will make it pretty far. We shall see how the game goes.

Cool....a Survivor thread. Sugar is really beginning to grow on me. I am so glad she took the idol back from Ace. Tonights episode should be interesting with each tribe having to vote someone out.

I don't know if Fang is stupid or smart. Ace was their strongest player and they voted him off, but he was also the most threatening player and they voted him off. I don't think it was a good move if the goal was to actually win any challenges, but if the goal was to survive until the merge they probably did make a smart move.

I wonder though, would Sugar have voted Ace off if he did not ask for the idol? Kenny was probably lying to her and it was a great coincedence that Ace did ask for the idol back (BTW you did not "give" it back, she took it back). Do you think Sugar would have totally believed Kenny if Ace didn't ask for the idol?

I think she would have gone for it. Sugar is a cutie. :king:

I'd like to have seen Crystal go home. What olympic event did she win a gold medal in? The Passive Aggressive Relay? Whining? Eye Rolling?

I kind of like Sugar. It's funny how everyone is losing weight like crazy, and she looks pretty much the same. All those trips to Exile Island have kept her well fed.

Ace thought he had the game in the bag and instead got the boot. Ditto Marcus. It looks like Kenny makes the same stupid, arrogant mistake next week. Ya gotta love Survivor!

I like Sugar also..I think she is doing pretty good for having almost everyone kno she has the idol..and Marcus got a little too cocky and messed himself up...though he is se xy as all hell..;)

Looks like Kenny will be the same way...and Randy is the one who annoys me to no end..I pray that he goes soon.

:)

Dana, you think Kenny is $exy? :lookaroun

When will people learn that when they think they are in charge of the game, they aren't? 9 times out of 10 it takes someone flying under the leadership radar to emerge at the end.

I'm beginning to wonder if Crystal hasn't been it physically and will begin to turn it on later. Guaranteed if she makes the final two that Marcus doesn't vote for her.

Classic blindside last night--I loved it! Though my daughter was heartbroken because "he was so HOTT."

If any of the Fang members make it to the final 3, I'll be both mad and impressed at the same time.

I also find it hard to believe that Crystal is sooo inept.

Right now, I'd like to see Randy, Corrine, or Sugar win it.

Sugar is doing a great job. I have a feeling she will be one of the finalists. I thought for sure that she would be one of the first to be voted off, but she has held her own and is flying under the radar.
Randy needs to go. The guy thinks he's all that and a bag of chips.
Here is a question for any of you. Do you think anyone went back to the beach later that night to see if that immunity idol washed back ashore? I have a funny feeling that it might and someone will grab it.

That was pretty funny last night when they said she was weak in challenges (i.e. can't run.) I can't wait to see people's reactions when it finally comes out that she's actually an Olympic gold medallist.

I think they would've shown that since that would make the game so huge is someone did. I'm doubtful that happened, but it's not unthinkable.

I can certainly see why people don't like Randy, but without him, there would be no humor. He and Sugar are the only ones with personalities.

Marcus reminded me of the late Paul Newman.

Randy reminds me of an actor who was in Blade Runner - the guy who "persuades" Decker to go on the hunt for the replicants.
