Surviving on Only Treats and Snacks

Well, I'll put it this way: It's possible but not recommended. Why? You'll do a ton of walking and you'll definitely need the energy to last through the day. Add on the hot summer weathers of August, well, you may not survive on just snacks alone. As tempting as it is for financial concerns or even hunger instincts, I would ill-advise following through. I would think eating nothing but snacks makes you even more hungry to be honest. Your body will suffer a lot more harm than you think because it's not getting enough nutrients you need. I think @dreamfinder 's post hit the nail on the head about the potential pitfalls about that.

When I was a teen I might have tried it ( if I could get away with it ) and not have thought about it being non nutritious but now I am more into being health conscious. I'll eat well, and grab a snack somewhere along the day. Hey, those snacks can cost a pretty penny too.

If people in your party are willing your could share meals with them at table and counter service restaurants. The portion sizes are usually big enough especially if someone doesn't eat a lot or isn't that hungry.

I couldn't do it.

Most of the snack foods are really high in carbohydrates. Sushi is really the only high protein snack-ish item I can think of, and I don't like it. I suppose you could get your fat intake from ice cream and nacho cheese, but that doesn't sound particularly nutritious either. You'd be high on sodium, and probably low on most vitamins for the day.

Now, you kind of offset the abundance of sugar by walking and standing most of the day, and you can survive a day without getting all of your vitamins, but in the Florida heat, it could get exhausting. You'd also get hungry pretty quickly, because most of the energy is from refined carbohydrates. If you have to stop for a snack every couple hours, you may as well stop for counter service a couple of times a day and have that be it.

I wouldn't be able to go with just snacks and treats. I'd need a quick service meal at least once a day. You can definitely go without a table service meal though.

The ear of corn in Liberty Square is pretty tasty.

If my son gets the chicken fingers and I sneak a few bites of the chicken fingers when he isn't looking, does that count as a snack? ;-)

I would split food if you are travelling with others. All snacks might get a little rough, depending...

I would think this is easier to do in Epcot. Small plates, apps, and tapas are easy to split in restaurants and at all the stands and counter service. Lots of variety.

Also, don't they say that Le Cellier will sell the cheedar beer soup to go? Never tried it. Is this a myth? LOL! I have seen people post it before.

I couldn't do it because of my daughter. That's not teaching her very well but after we came home she would try to use the "Remember when we only had snacks and ice cream?" thing against me.:) Probably until she moved out on her own...many, many years down the road! :p
