Hello everyone! I have really enjoyed everyones comments on this board, it is by far my favorite forum to read about Disney happenings! :)
We are planning a surprise birthday party for my sweet mom on her 60th and would like to suprise her with a trip to:cool: Disneyworld. We are planning a brunch with close family and friends at a local restaurant.
Being that all of you are very creative:animwink:, does anyone have any creative ways of making this different/special? We don't just want to say, "Surprise, you're going to DisneyWorld! "
All of your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! :sohappy:

Give her a gift basket of "Everything You'll Need on Vacation." Fill it with sunscreen, a hat, a towel, a camera, etc., but make sure that nothing shows the remote possibility of this being a Disney trip. Let her enjoy the vacation aspect first...

...then bury a WDW guidebook beneath everything else.

Welcome to the forums!

I like the above poster's idea. I just finished doing up a gift bag for my parents (both in their early 60s) who are coming with me (& my family) to WDW for the first time in 15 years! I've filled the gift bag with things that you need at Disney. I can't wait to give it to them!!!

Thank you for the idea! :p One of my sisters wanted for me to decorate everything disney but that would be too obvious:kiss:. I love the gift basket idea. I will be asking people to give her gifts for travel; she will be going last week of July. I know that she will love it! She has never been on a vacation like this before!:D

Thanks again!

What did you put in the gift bag? My parents will also be traveling with us for the first time in September and I wanted to make them something special that they would use.

I think the gift bag with the WDW guide book at the bottom is a great idea. It's so nice that you're doing this, I'm sure she will love it. Good luck with the planning and let us know what you decide to do!
