Theres a rumor floating around that Disney is in the process of getting rid of the surprise morning benefits to Hotel guests!!! :brick:

I hope not !

That is one of the reasons I like staying on Disney property ,to ride my favorite attractions before the screaming children and adults do. The first come - first serve for Disney paying resort guest makes part of the WDW "MAGIC" more fun and Disney is doing a great job on security at it's park.;)

we used to do the surprise mornings...but then we noticed that the park having the surpirse morning on a particular day is usually really crowded for the rest of the day that day. so we started avoiding them. so it personally wouldn't hurt my feelings if they took it away....but you guys are definately right...it's a great advantage to those guests staying in the Disney resorts (for those guests that take advantage of it, of course)...i mean, geez! what's the next thing they're gonna cut back on? bus transportation for resort guests? half the time you have to stand forever and wait for a bus as it is! :brick:

First of all to OrlandoDisney, Surprise morning aka early entry is available for on-site resort guests. On certain days of the week, resort guests can enter the specified park 90 minutes earlyand enjoy various rides.

I called two days ago to Disney info. to verify the EE mornings for our Nov. trip and she spouted them right off.

If they are cancelled, that will be a major disappointment in the off season as hours are cut back as it is. For us, it's a major part of our touring.

First E-ride, now maybe EE! Disney, don't lose what you have worked to build, i.e. "magical vacations". These perks truly add to the magic by drastically cutting down line time keeping the masses happy.

These days, a little happiness can go a long way.

I dont know why they would do this... It would probably bad not only on our behalf but also on theirs maybe. You have to consider as people above have stated they stay at Disney for earlyentry days..... with them gone... maybe attendence would go down and in the long run the Disney company may lose some cash. I dont think they could do this anytime soon due to the 100 years of magic celebration going on but.... its always possible. Personally I would stay on Disney property with or without the early entry days. Its just the fact that you are "THERE" and you have so many privilages. Not to mention riding around in the monorail or a bus just for fun all day. I hope they dont do this!!!

I hope that they do not do away with the early entry days. Those are the parks that I avoid. In eight eleven years of going to WDW, I have never gone to a park on a day that had early entry. The other parks seem to be less crowded. I can understand why Disney might consider such a move. They have already slashed prices on rooms and need to save money where ever they can. As a Disney guest, it is not pleasing to have our fun cut but in the end Disney is a company and has a responsibility to it's stockholders. Anyone seen the stock price lately????????

Why would they do this? I really can't see the logic behind this decision (if it goes through). I mean there are a lot of nice, high quality hotels in the area, but staying at a Disney hotel has many advantages to it, especially the surprise mornings.

I think Disney may seriously run the risk of losing guests to hotels like the Hyatt Regencey Grand Cypress and others if they go through with this.
