I have friends arriving at WDW a couple of days ahead of us. I would love to have a surprise waiting for them in their room upon their arrival. I was thinking along the lines of balloons, gift basket, etc. Is there a service at WDW that does this sort of thing?

I used Disney Florist 2 years ago for my then girlfriend's (now financee's) birthday flowers. The flowers pictured were not the same we received (in fact, I couldn't believe the price given for the flowers shown on the website...I should've asked more questions), but the arrangement was still nice....she was VERY happy....the flowers were delivered to the room while we were in the parks....we returned to the room VERY tired....but the flowers seemed to put a little skip in her step......

I will say nothing further other than the service works well and is worth the high price of the flowers/delivery....your friends should enjoy such a gift...

I hope this helps...

I was just looking at the Disney Florist site. Cute gift baskets but pricey. I know I could put something together myself for less.

Can you bring your own gift and have it sent up to someone's room at the resort?

Their room will not be assigned until they arrive at the resort. The delivery of a gift to their room can only be made after they check in. Therefore, it is not possible to have "a surprise waiting for them in their room upon their arrival."

We have received & have also sent giftbaskets (well, insulated coolers) from the WDW Florist and have always been pleased.

Remember, the flowers, cookies, goodies may not be exactly the same as pictured due to seasonal availability.

So if I arrived on a Tuesday at my hotel, could I just call the florist and have them deliver something that week to our room?

Yes....or you can call Disney Florist ahead of time and let them know what resort you are staying at and what name the ressie is under. I did it that way and then followed up after check in to make sure everything was cool....

The birthday plan went off without a hitch....

Good Luck.
