DD9 has begged for 2 years to take surf lessons anywhere that has a wave. I'm somewhat leery because I can't swim myself so I'd just be sitting on the sidelines and don't know what I'd be letting her get into. What kind of swimmer do you need to be for it? And what kind of water depth do they have a group in? This is where she's at it it gives anyone help: This summer she is in American Red Cross swim level 4- stroke improvement and with day camp was cleared for any water depth (pool is only 5ft outside the divewell) and going off the low and high dives (10ft water) on pool days. They have to pass a test the beginning of each summer that sets how deep they can go and for the diving for safety reasons.
