I'm with you, at first I didn't like them. Then they came out with the 40th anniversary ones and I had to get them. Then i was at a disney outlet store at the beach and they had vinylmation cases. I bought 3 and had to fill them now.

I did a cruise last year and had a blast trading them on the ship. I was trying to collect teh parks series and it was easy since thats what they sold on the ship and people kept trading their duplicates.

I thought the whole thing about vinylmation was that you never knew what you were going to get. It was like buying a pig in a poke. So how do you go about this?

I'm totally confused about vinylmation anyway.

Some of the series are random and you don't know what you will get (Park, Urban, Animation, Villains, etc). Some of the special release and certain series you can see what you are buying beforehand.

Funny many people (me included) that liked and collected Vinylmations from the beginning fell the opposite way and are really disappointed with all the recent changes. We have well over 250 of these guys. The mold has changed, the new off-shoots of the different brands(think Park-Stars here and new upcoming Popcorn series), not to mention the lowering of the quality of these. The whole Furry Friends series was recalled after it was released, for a day or 2, due to poor quality in the painting and marks on the Vinyls. The new series(NFL, MLB, ZODIAC and some others) that have been recently released are very UNDERWHELMING to say the least. I probably will get the NY Giants and NY Yankee ones though.

All in all... these went from a rather neat, different type of collectible to just another plastic toy IMO. Very dissappointed.

OHHHH :zipit:I wish I had known these were available earlier. I am going to a SuperBowl party tonight to watch the game and it would have been a great gift for my hosts who are putting on the feast. They are so very Pat's fanatics...

Wow, had no clue about the degradation of quality. Glad I got out when I did! I bought a few cases of Parks 1, 2 and Urban 1 and 2. Had the intention of 'getting them all' but when it went from every 3 months to much more frequent, and then non-blindbox and special series and etc. I realized they were just rushing them to release and flooding the market.

Sold off my collection and made quite a hefty profit thanks to the scarcity of Parks 1 complete sets - enough to fund my first DCL cruise!

That selection is a hodgepodge of teams. Of course they will have the giants, pats, steelers and cowboys. But the bucs and raiders?
