Superbowl Sunday

I am planning a trip for Feb and it looks like the best time is Feb 5th or 6th to the following weekend. I just realized that the Superbowl is on the 7th. Do you think that will cause a complication? Also where would be a good place to watch it if we were at WDW.
Thanks

Beats me where you'd watch it, but it's probably the best day of the year to visit the parks! I've been there a few times on game day, it's wonderful! :D

I've never been into American football. My grandmother could manage 10 yards in four downs... :lookaroun

We were in the MK on Superbowl Sunday in 2007 and it was fairly deserted. Great time to visit the parks. Skip the game!

MY wife and sons will skip the game, but if the Patriots or Colts are playing it will be hard to miss. Is there still an ESPN club on the Boardwalk?

Yep, it's still there. It's the best place to watch on property. Plan on getting there nice and early as it will fill up quickly.

You may be seated with others at a table depending on your party size. They've also got what used to be a $10/hr minimum for your bill as well. They might increase it the way things are going this year.

I always enjoy the superbowl and I think it might be interesting to watch it on the boardwalk. But if it is too busy hey I'm at disney!! It can't get any better.

we were in Disney for the superbowl in 2008 the parks were pretty quiet. ESPN was a madhouse, the place was packed! My DH watched the game at Pop but, I'm not sure that bar area is still there (it was in the food court but on the one side).

I am Canadian, but lived in the USA for 15 years (mainly Maine and Vermont), so I picked up a love for the game. After yesterday we may get football back here in Ottawa.

Already pre-booked 5 Season Tickets! :D

Not sure I can handle waiting until 2015, but better late than never! I can't believe Clive Doucet cried to try and sway votes his way!

You may want to consider making ADRs for 1 at ESPN now-ish.

I would suspect (though I couldn't guarantee) that any and every WDW resort lounge would be playing the game if there are TVs available.

If for some reason WDW wants to keep the events of the real world out as much as possible, you may even want to consider taking a jaunt over to any of the hotels across from DTD, the lounges in Swan and/or Dolphin, or going to one of the full-servie restaurants at the Crossroads, like their TGIFriday's.

Unless it's "your" team in the game stay away form ESPN. It gets crazy insane on any game day never mind Superbowl. Any lounge/bar at resorts will have game on. We watched many Olymipc events last summer at the POFQ bar.

We were there last year during the Superbowl. If you remember last year it was in Tampa. The morning was fairly crowded not bad but the closer it got to game time the crowd really thinned out. During the game you can ride anything you want no problem. We noticed alot of Steelers jerseys the two days after the superbowl. Have fun.

Do they have a tV in the lounge at the POFQ? It might be nice to watch it there.
