Super Bowl at Disney World

Well, my wife is having us go to Disney World over Super Bowl weekend. It will be the start to our trip. Because the day after the Super Bowl is her birthday, we are going to the MK. I know crowds will be heavier than normal because the MVP will be there.

I have two questions:

Where are good places to watch the Super Bowl?
ESPN Bar should be slammed beyond belief I suspect. Pool bars don't have too many TVs, but may be some of the most partying places which is good. ESPN Wide World of Sports maybe?

What will MK be like the day after the SB?
I suspect crowds to be pretty heavy for the MVP in the parade. That is not a special concern or ours. We will hit rides, shows, and other things.

I wonder if they will open Odyssey in Epcot for SB viewing like they did for the World Cup? That might be your best option. That or a pizza & wings delivery to your room. Most bars will likely be packed.

That is what I figured. I may just kiss this one goodbye and enjoy empty parks. There are only a handful of teams that I would want to watch and only a couple that would make the game interesting.

Hope you enjoy the parks on SB Sunday...hope the parks are empty enough.

We have spent two Super Bowl weekends at WDW. Almost every resort will have a giant screen showing the game. I remember CBR having a giant screen set up next to the main pool and BC having one set up on the beach.
Or you can do what we did - go to the parks and ride the rides. It was a great night, low crowds, both times.

Anyone who was in the Magic Kingdom on Superbowl Sunday last year care to comment on crowd levels?

We'll be at WDW for a short visit, couldn't care less about seeing the game, the forecast is for lovely weather, so we're thinking it will be our day in the MK, especially later in the afternoon and during the actual Superbowl. Seems like crowds have historically been low. Crowd predictions I've seen are 5/10.

Watched Final Four at Splitsville in '13 and wasn't too packed, other than that maybe the lounges at the resorts I'm sure they'll have it on. ESPN would be packed for sure.

As for the parade, Main Street will be packed for the mvp but not much else, I was there when Flaco was there and wasn't too bad. Enjoy!
