goofyfan, I also thought the location of the pool was a bit strange. Oh well. They'll probably have something blocking the view, so I'm not too worried about that...but yeah...I'm not sure if any other resort has put a pool so close to a parking lot before.

Yea, looking at the picture though it appears as if there is a sidewalk leading from the parking lot to the pool area. I sure hope that they'll do something to exclude it like the other WDW pools.

I just can't shake the image I get when I see a pool area attached to a parking lot...a public swim club.

How many rooms will be left for the hotel? It looks like once all this is built, it's going to be like 75% DVC. Is the hotel really not filling enough rooms?

the main building is going from 1300 rooms down to about 1100 since they are using 2 and 3 rooms to make 1 DVC room. Should be around 950 regular hotel rooms left. DVC will be on 5th and 6th floors only. (6th floor is only in lobby and only about 14 rooms on that floor along with the concierge lounge.) Concierge lounge has been moved to the presidential suite during construction.

AKL DVC looks pretty cool actually, but that is a long walk to the main lobby!

WOW- I didn't realize how huge the AKL dvc was going to be! I had a room at the end of the hall at AKL in January, and it was a LONG walk- from the look of the map, you'll need a sherpa and a pack llama to get to your room at the end of the hall in the new building!

Wow, that's odd to see the wand completely gone!! Now I guess the "original" Epcot sphere grazes the park. I personally liked the wand and thought it looked good at the zenith of the sphere.
