Yeah, what a jerk. We're all delighted that we got some good pics and this idjit has to try to start some trouble. We know that people sometimes have to go to silly lengths to get pics for us all out here in the internet void.

Classless to call him out like that. Probably petty jealousy.

AND. What the heck would that particular tweeter be doing right there, at that exact time? Stalker?

I stopped following that person as well. Just felt unnecessary to call someone out like that. Although I wouldn't personally go to such lengths for photos, it was nice to see the update.

Personally, I would like to see the WDW fan community support one another, rather than compete..there's plenty of us Disney nerds to go around :D

Where do the Utilidors start? Won't they hit those if they dig too deep given where the Mine train is on the concept art, I suspect it is just outside the outside pond of 20k which puts it right where the load lines used to be. I am speculating but, I think that is right about where the Utilidors start.

Nothing near there. By the looks of how deep they have gone they are already at or below the floor level of the utilidors.
The closest they got during FLE was over near the restrooms by Dumbo. At one point you could see the roof exposed which was the loading dock and main entrance to the utilidors.

Actually that area is right next to Be our guest. The part with the exposed roof was a locker room I believe and was actually added on and not in the construction picture.

Take a look at this 'video' I put together from different aerial-pictures over time. I made this earlier this year (May), because the (more or less) same question came up somewhere else on this forum. The exposed part can clearly be seen in the first part (from the 1969 construction-pic)

Okay, I was wrong. I thought they did an addition into the 20k lagoon area for a new locker room and THAT was the exposed roof we saw earlier in the construction pictures.

So the Belle M&G is sitting on top of that parking lot at the bottom of the picture.

i would love to see more old photos of the magic kingdom when it was being built, and where things are today.

Yes the exposed area was the “roof” for the (guys) locker room. They did add a little bit to the utilidors. There is now a section that connects the hallway for the locker rooms to the loading area for Character Zoo just to the left of the main entrance (when looking from backstage towards the castle). There is a door that still says “Construction KEEP OUT”. I assume this will lead to another hallway used for both the Belle M&G cast members and to connect to the downstairs kitchen of the BOG restaurant.

And agree that is an amazing picture and would love to see more ^^^
