I'll be back in a little bit. I need to do some more bills and all that other real-world nonsense. Try not to kill each other.
Must we?I'll be back in a little bit. I need to do some more bills and all that other real-world nonsense. Try not to kill each other.
All that baking - no wonder!!Good afternoon. I am so exausted from the past few days.
If I got help, that would have been nice. I had two people help me get the food out on the table. They plated all of the desserts for me and after that they took off. Then it was me for the rest of the night. I kept the salad table restocked with various items and the baked ziti and meat balls restocked. I even wiped down tables from the messes people were making. Most of the plates and utensils were throw away items. No on bought bowls for the salad or small plates for the desserts so I had to use the real stuff. And of course, no one was available to do dishes. All that baking - no wonder!!
Got any leftovers?
Unfortunately Dan it's that way in most organizations. The same people you see coaching or working the snack bar at little league games are also volunteering in schools, churches, and local government. Then they eventually burn out, someone steps up to fill in, and the cycle repeats itself. If I got help, that would have been nice. I had two people help me get the food out on the table. I finally walked out of there at 8:30 last night. I went back down today to get the few items of mine that I left and the place was a mess. I ended up washing all the dishes, cleaning the place up and got my stuff and left. No one showed up to help. :fork:
I am starting to think I need a break from the fundraising. Everyone loved the food but, if I am not going to get the help, why should I do it all myself?
Why not?Try not to kill each other.
Because she said so!Why not?
Who is she?Because she said so!
I thought you knew......Who is she?
Apparently I do not.I thought you knew......
Oh, I know. George told me not to do it. He was mad at how things were being run. I did get a big thank you from our cheif (which his wife nearly fell over when she heard it because he doesn't compliment anyone very much.)Unfortunately Dan it's that way in most organizations. Ehhh - your loss!Apparently I do not.
I'm sure it was wonderful!Oh, I know. George told me not to do it. He was mad at how things were being run. I did get a big thank you from our cheif (which his wife nearly fell over when she heard it because he doesn't compliment anyone very much.)
The bad thing is I think I am obsessive compulsive. I have to make everything perfect and try to make people happy. I made a good majority of everything from scratch and used quality recipes to make the food taste so much better. I did get a lot of compliments about the food and everything, but then I wonder, are they just saying it because I was there or is it really that good? :veryconfu
I win!Ehhh - your loss!
rats - I hate losing.....I win!
That reminds me.rats - I hate losing.....
Did you like it?That reminds me.
