Thanks. I'm a lil glad I'm not there for this. I think seeing them get on the bus for the 1st time would just do me in...and they're not even my children!Steph, that is so sweet!

I wanted to send them this:
http://www.cookiesinbloom.com/?gclid=CK2Pz8_Nho4CFRGCGgodAiKpDw
but with delivery it was $58!!! FOR 4 COOKIES!!!!! :dazzle: :dazzle: Yikes! They love flowers and I threw some pink ones in there for fun....plus they won't rot their teeth.
How are you this morning, Dot?
It is. I borrowed DBF's jumbo umbrella today. It's so big & obnoxious, I hate walking on the streets with it here...but today it will be worth it. Seems like everyone uses them anyway.I'm good, but the weather stinks!
It is absolutely pouring buckets, with no end in sight.
I assume it is about the same there?
Hello - not a great morning here....
Joel woke up with a baaaaad diaper, which explains why he hasn't had much of an appetite the last couple of days. Seems to be eating now though.
We have water in our basement - again. :fork: Thought replacing the gutters would resolve it - apparently not. DH was just down there with the shop vac - thank goodness we pitched the carpet last summer. :brick: :brick:
Hello.
Going in to work at 10 again today.
Just working today and tomorrow and then... DISNEY WORLD!!
Just ordered daisies to be delivered to the girls Thursday. Their 1st day of Kindergarten!!!
Thanks, SusieAw they will like the flowers. The cookies were pretty but cost way too much.
No, she hasn't checked in yet. She's usually an early-bird too.Has anyone heard from Betty this morning?
Actually....that's not true. She posted on the word association thread this morning, and a few other threads yesterday. :shrug:Has anyone heard from Betty this morning?

There is woman who lives in our complex. She is 43 and has been a widow for about 5 years and has no children. She started hanging out with our group at the pool last summer and has become pretty much one of the gang. Not everyone is happy about that. She has a very bubbly personality and tends to be loud. . .especially her laugh. She has a tendency to draw attention to herself. So some of our gang see her as a nuisance. But George and I and a few of the others, don't. We see her as someone who is lonely. She is so appreciative of friendship and is always doing nice little things for all of us. All that's required of us is to be nice back. That hurts no one, and means all the world to her.
So. . .today is her birthday. She's on vacation this week and the weather is just horrendous. I'm sure she woke up this morning just thinking about what a miserable day this was going to be. But. . .
George suggested we have her over for dinner! He called a mutual friend, had him contact her, and the two of them will be coming over. We're going to make her special day really special!
I love George. I just had to tell you that.
Good idea, SusieMaybe we should send her a PM saying we miss her here.
Oh, Dot, that is so sweet. That George.... :kiss:There is woman who lives in our complex. She is 43 and has been a widow for about 5 years and has no children. That is soooooo sweet of George and you to make her day special. Warm birthday wishes to her.:sohappy:

*rents car to drive to Dot's* :slurp:Yay! He even volunteered to cook the entire meal himself, but we decided I'll make Chicken Parm and he'll make his homemade spaghetti sauce. Yum!
