Seasonal AP's are always considered "Passholders" for any "Passholder" event, discount, promotion, etc.

But are you double sure that it includes season passholders:D

Plus the only thing special about being a passholder is getting the paper glasses....not that I would not mind taking some if someone offered:p

Hmmm. I just checked the calendar for Saturday, because it looks like we may be going after all. They don't list MSEP or Summer Nightastic at all - which I'd expect since neither of them officially start until Sunday. They don't list any nighttime parade at all, which I'd also expect, since they're not running Spectro.

However it does list Wishes at 10PM. Is it possible that they'll be running both shows, with one of them at 10, and the other some other time? Or is this just a misprint? The email they sent to passholders says SN is at 10.

They will list everything as normal, but that day when you get the map/entertainment guide it will have all the new stuff on it. Really this is going to be a great thing for the chosen few of us who are going for the Summer stuff, the general public will have no idea so most of them will wait until the next night to go to MK for the big opening night of the new stuff!

It will definitely be the new Summer Nighttastic Fireworks Special at 10pm, as well as the Main Street Electrical Parade at 9pm and 11pm. They will not be showing Wishes or SpectroMagic.

As this is a soft opening, aside from the email sent to Passholders, Disney is not advertising the scheduled preview until the day of. You will not find it on their website or times guides (although the MK's park map has MSEP on the cover.) A park-wide announcement will be made prior to the step off of the Celebrate A Dream Come True parade announcing MSEP and SNFS.

That's what I figured. I was just surprised to see Wishes listed on the calendar. Seemed like just leaving it off, like they did with Spectro without even mentioning MSEP, was a good tradeoff between not tipping off the general guests and not advertising something that wasn't going to happen.

Personally, as much as I love Wishes, I know I'd be pleasantly surprised if I happened to be in the park and learned that I'd be seeing the new show instead. And it never would have occurred to me that anyone else might feel otherwise, except that I know of at least one person (who posted earlier in this thread) who's upset that he won't be seeing Wishes on Saturday, and would presumably be even more upset if he hadn't found out until he got there.

I hope so. My inclination is usually to wait a while when anything new opens (excluding previews that truly are limited some way, such as to passholders) to avoid crowds. But my wife seems to want to go to this. It's just that you can't limit access for this kind of thing other than by keeping it a secret, and I'm just not sure how well kept this particular secret is.

I guess they're counting on the fact that even if everyone and their brother knows about it now, most of them booked vacations when they thought Sunday was the first day.

I guess we'll find out Saturday...

Following up on my last reply to this post, I just read elsewhere that Saturday is the Magic Kingdom portion of the annual Gay Days event. I've never been, but it's my understanding that the event is usually very well attended, so the place is going to be mobbed even if no one finds out about the preview.

Anyone else been to MK during Gay Days who can speak to crowd levels?

The crowds are formidable but not really all that worse than a weekend during the summer.

They just made a public announcement and the CM are talking about it. The hub and Main Street are starting to fill up...

I was only there Saturday night and it wasnt as bad as I thought it may have been. After the fireworks the place was a ghost town.

Friday morning/afternoon at DHS was way worse with morning EMH, gay days, and SWW. I rode the ToT and watched MuppetVision and ran out of there. I got through the turnstiles about 8:10 and headed to see how bad TSMM was and maybe get a FP, but the line was all the way back to the queue for The Little Mermaid. It was the worst I have ever seen a park.

That it was. We stayed for the second parade and it was much more enjoyable than the madness that preceded it. I would have like have stayed even later but we had been up since 3:00 AM and it was definitely time to call it a night.

Toy Story mania always seems to have a long line. You either gotta get there as soon as the gates open and weave your way through people to be at the rope before it drops, or speed walk in between people as soon as the rope drops to get on at a reasonable time. Or run to it as soon as the park closes and be one of the last groups to enter the building, the line should speed up because the fastpasses are cut off.
