It's Back and Brighter Than Ever!Clear your calendar for Saturday, June 5, 2010, and get over to the Magic Kingdom® Park for an advance viewing of the return of perhaps the most beloved and adored Disney parade in history! The Main Street Electrical Parade is back as part of Summer Nightastic! Check it out at 9 and 11 p.m., or both!

Plus! That same night, Passholders* can check out the new Summer Nightastic! Fireworks Spectacular at 10 p.m., with special light effect viewing glasses, provided free to who? Passholders, that's who. Pick up your free glasses between 4 and 8 p.m. at the Rose Garden entrance near Tomorrowland® and enjoy the show.

That was a bad post. I just got an email saying that on Saturday the 6th they will be running the MSEP at 9 & 11 and having the new fireworks at 10. Passholders can get special glasses at the Rose Garden from 4-8. The park is open to 11 anyway on Saturday so im guessing the only real passholder benefit is the glasses and them sharing the information.

Sweet!! I was annoyed that I was going to have to go on Sunday to see them (as the rest of the time they'll be around, I'm on Seasonal Blackout.) Saturday is MUCH better since it's not a school night.

Yay!

I am thinking that the MK on June the 5th is going to be super packed because of the passholder preview, the fact that it's a Saturday, and it's also the Gay Days park of the day celebrating their 20th anniversary. I am so glad we won't be there until August.

It's Saturday, the 5th. Check a calendar... The 5th is a Saturday. My email says Saturday, June 5th as well.

Yes, it will be slammed that night. I might go watch it from the bar at the Poly.

Not exactly sure, but i'm pretty sure they're going to be the same ones that i've heard were used for the Osbourne Lights over at DHS. I've never used them though so I don't know what the deal is.

The glasses are similar to the old red/blue 3D glasses...card stock paper frames but with clear, prismatic lenses that will let the wearer see rainbow starburts around sources of light...in this case, the fireworks, as well as the Electrical Parade.

I'm assuming this also. The ones for the Osbourne lights had cardboard frames and cellophane lenses. When you look through the lenses, they create a sort of a halo around any point light source. A little like what you'd see looking at a light through fog or dirty glasses, except the halos are shaped, with different pairs of glasses giving different shapes. We used to have several pairs from the Osbourne lights. One created star shaped halos, another created Mickey-heads. There were others, but I don't remember what they were. I never thought about watching fireworks through them, but I guess it could be interesting.

The glasses are kind of cool but mostly lame at the same time. You really wont be missing much if you're not wearing them!

Disappointing

I must say this truly is very disappointing. I am heading down there Saturday the 5th and was really hoping to catch Spectro Magic and Wishes that night, and then return on the Sunday to catch MSEP and Summer Nightastic fireworks. *sigh* One person's loss is another's gain I guess. Just wish I wasn't the one losing ;-)

Does this include seasonal pass holders for sure ?
Seasonal AP's are always considered "Passholders" for any "Passholder" event, discount, promotion, etc.

The only time it's confusing is if there's an event taking place during Seasonal Blackout. In that case, the Seasonal AP is still welcomed to participate but will need admission in order to do so.

For example, when Hall of Presidents re-opened last year, they had a Passholder preview day. It was in July though, so Seasonals were of course on blackout. But if you had other admission for the day, you'd still be welcome to come because you're still a Passholder.

Hope that helps!
