Summer Nightastic over, TOT back to normal?

I can see the problem in that the additional profile might be longer, making it not mathematically possible to add it to the random profiles, but still, even if it was just the ONE profile they can bring back the old 5th dimension...

Hmmm, good point there. But I agree with you, there's no reason why the 5th dimension scene shouldn't be brought back.

Biggest things: new drop profile, star curtains and a new projection/picture effect in the 5th dimension scene, new lighting and sound effects in the boiler room, new sound/music just before the elevator drop, and new green lights in the drop shafts to give the Tower a "glow in the dark" look.

Personally, I kinda hope they keep the new boiler room effects and the green glow lights in the shaft. It also would be cool if they kept the new drop profile as an option for the random drops. However, the 5th dimension room effects need to go.

Agreed. With all of this.

Tower of Terror is back to normal now. None of the changes have stayed.

The "nighttastic" profile was the exact same length as the old profiles.

So I take it most guests didn't love the Summer Nightastic profile? Disney tends to make popular, "temporary" changes become permanent...unless they are too expensive, like the Summer Nightastic fireworks.

The tagline for the Nighttastic ToT should have been "Re-cycled" instead of "Re-imagined." Every definition of "recycled" that I looked up matches exactly what was done to the ToT.

People seemed to love the the drop profile itself...

What was recycled about it? None of it had been done before, to Florida's Tower anyway.

When something is recycled, the notion is that the "thing" itself degrades, in order to be combined with other "things" to create a new "thing." In other words, a telephone book cannot - by itself - be recycled into a new telephone book, without more. A single soda can cannot - by itself - be used to create a new soda can.

Hence, adding a black wall with a cheap starfield-like appearance is quite degrading to what was already there (the 5th dimension). It was "recycled," and not turned into a better end-product (because there were no added elements sufficient to constitute a "re-imagined" attraction).

A LCD projector, black wall, audio clip, and fog, do not - for me - qualify as "re-imagined." And let's face it, the only people who are discussing these minuscule changes are the die-hard fans on this board, not your average park guest.

Oh, ok. I thought you meant re-cycled, as in, stuff that had been done before.

I agree with you, then. It did not enhance the experience at all.
