Summer Nightastic 2011?

I know its only January, and that any official word from Disney probably will not come until February or March, but does anyone think Summer Nightastic will be returning to Florida? I know it has become a local favorite in CA, but last year was the first year for FL. If it does, does anyone have any ideas of what "special" things they could be doing this year since we already have MSEP?

I have no clue, but if they do it again this year, I'd love to see Tapestry of Nations/Dreams return to EPCOT as one of the events.

I would love to see Tapestry return for Summer Nightastic! I think it would be a good draw for fans like the return of MSEP was last year.

This would be the third year they do Summer Nightastic at Disneyland, and it is very popular. I was instantly reminded of the catchy commercial jingle that seemingly played on every radio station in Southern California every few minutes all summer long, and it might be a good antidote for the depths of winter and the extreme cold much of the country is slogging through now.

Surely they will try it again in WDW this summer. What else are they going to do, really? It would be neat if they could get some live bands like Disneyland to bring crowds to the WDW dancefloors, instead of just relying on 35 year old wedding reception DJ's with a sanitized Ipod and a pair of ugly board shorts. Live bands and swing orchestras, like those that keep Tomorrowland Terrace and Plaza Gardens hopping all night at Disneyland, would go a long way to jazz up the WDW version of Summer Nightastic in my opinion.

Well according to Ricky Brigante (Inside the Magic), the "What's New, What's next" press event is next Tuesday. This is the event that they announced Nighttastic at last year and i'm sure they will again if they are to do it once more. Also, there is hope that they might announce the FLE changes at this event.

I sure am hoping that they try it again. It was pretty cool to have stuff going on all summer that almost seemed geared for us locals in Orlando (which RARELY happens at WDW). But I got worried when I heard that attendence was flat for the summer. They must have put a lot of money into the different shows (especially the fireworks - they were just amazing).

The only things I could really see them doing are bringing back the fireworks show, the Tower of Terror overlay, the DJ dance party's in TL and DHS, and promoting MSEP as returning. What I would want them to see though would be doing Fantasmic every night as part of the promotion, if they don't want to run Fantasmic everynight, maybe they could look into installing the proper infrastructure to run DHS's parade at night since the BPB floats(now PPCTF floats) have nightime lighting on them and are ready to go. I know it wouldn't be as nice as Fantasmic but it'd be nice to have something at night at DHS, and I know the parade is probably A LOT cheaper to run than Fantasmic.

Definitely! If nothing else, I hope they bring back the Nightastic Fireworks (they can call them that, Music Magic Meyhem or anything else they want... as long as its that show). :)

I am also in favor of the return of Tapestry of Nations parade.

Saw the same fireworks show when they had the Pirate and Princess party at MK. It really is a great show.

Would the Tapestry of Nations parade fit if they ran it only from Germany to Morocco?

By the way. Did anyone notice if they had the Tapestry of Nations puppets out during New years eve celebrations like they did in past years?

^^^Me too haha. Although I wish they would put F! back to a full schedule or even fuller like 4 or 5 nights a week. However, even if we don't get that then I think we should atleast get an evening parade there even if it's just running the daytime parade at night, that's what they do at Disneyland and they use to do it at California Adventure before WOC. With the right lighting and nighttime effects on the floats, it can really make a parade a lot more interesting at night.

They can't promote MSEP as "returning" for a second time...they already did that with the first Nighttastic so it'll have been here for a year, obviously meaning it's not "returning".
