We live in GA and always go at the end of May b/c the crowds are a little lighter and GA schools let out in late May. If your family gets up early like mine (my boys 8&9 are always up by 5:30) you can eat breakfast and be at the parks when they open. The lines are very manageable in the mornings. Come 11 or noon when everyone else gets to the park, you'll find some crowds. We usually eat lunch and go to the pool for a couple of hours and head back to the park in the afternoon. I used to take my kids out of school in Sept for a week (crowds are lighter then, too) and I thought it was worth it. I know teachers don't like that but my boys are A students and it didn't affect them adversely. We don't find it too hot in FL, but again, we live in GA and are used to the heat and humidity. We hate the cold and snow when we travel up North, tho'. I don't know how you stand it!! Check out the touringplans.com website for crowd info~
