By the way...

My best friend from school is proposing in likee... an hour and 20 minutes.

Myself, and her father are the only two people that know.

And now you guys... hahahaha
Awww yay!! :sohappy:
So... um... has anyone been put under with general anesthesia? Not diprivan or anything like that, but REAL anesthesia...? :lookaroun
I don't think so? That isn't what they would use for wisdom teeth removal, is it? That's the most I've ever had.

I didn't have general anesthesia for my wisdom teeth... Though they used something to knock me out.

I'm just asking because... :lookaroun... I'm having surgery on Tuesday...
I haven't told (other than family) but two people...
EDIT... make that three... :lookaroun:

I have but I was young- in 5th grade.

I broke my arm over Labor Day weekend, the idiot doctor at the ER re-set the bone wrong and it started to heal incorrectly so they had to go in and rebreak my arm in the hospital and set it correctly.

I'm sure it will be. :o
Just a little nervous about the anesthesia...
...and self conscious of the resulting scar...

From what I remember (and of course considering I was a kid) the anesthesiologist I had was great and they made me feel very calm and comfortable about the anesthesia and surgery and stuff. It was pretty much just like in the movies for me, they put on the mask and told me to count back from 100 and I think I got to 98 and was out.

It'll just be a laparoscopic procedure in my abdominal area. Two small incisions, maybe three.

I have been put under for kidney stone Lipotripcy (sp)
Ooo... I've heard those aren't fun. Did you feel sick when you woke up?

That similar to what they did for a procedure I had two years ago... though I know, for me, they only used diprivan, not "the real stuff"...

No I didn't feel sick.
When I did the tube thing I got sick but I believe since I had pain killers for the birth of my youngest and that wasn't out of my system. I woke up cold and scared. I slept all day that day.

I am 99% sure for me it was the big anesthesia because I was out for a long time. I'll have to double check and ask mom.

The pain killers they gave me made me sick, but I can't take any major pain meds without getting sick. Was the same way when they gave those to me for my wisdom teeth.

((HUGS)) I hope it all goes well.
