Suggestions needed

Okay everyone, I need some suggestions here. My DH and I are arriving at 0:dark hours (actually around 7:40 a.m.) at Orlando Int'l on June 26. Probably will arrive at WDW about 9 a.m. , staying at AKL. We have a 5 pm. seating for HDD and had planned to take the water launch from MK to Ft. Wilderness.

Question:
1. Would you go on over to MK for the day, and do a late
p.m. check-in, or
2. would you go to Animal Kingdom and head over to MK about
3 pm?
3. other options/suggestions/comments about check-in

Thanks

I am with Mike on this one. I say check in leave your stuff at the resort and just roam around the resort, head to a park or whatever. Who knows...maybe your room might be ready for you. DONT plan on that though it would just be a nice perk if it happened!!! Belle

Well.... it depends... :D

How many hours will you be awake by then? I was awake for 40 hours straight the first day of my last trip, and that first night, I was in the worst mood for any show, I just wanted my bed. So... don´t try to do many things that first day, or by the time you get to the HDD you´ll be falling asleep.

I also agree: stop by the hotel and drop the suitcases there.... maybe the room is ready, but don´t count on it. It also helps telling Reservations that you are an "early arrival" so they assign you a room since the night before. :animwink: (worked in a hotel).

I don´t know how many days you are staying, but if I were you, I would probably take it easy and go to AK for a few hours, then come back to the hotel, relax a bit, shower and get ready for the HDD and the rest of the night. If June 26 is a Saturday, I would avoid MK! :animwink:

Have a great trip!

I would suggest that on a thursday that you go to the AK. Just for the fact that the busiest days at the parks fall on the early opening days. And Thursday falls on the MK as an early opening day. I would suggest that you leave the Ak around 3:30 and take the bus to the WL and then take the launch from there to Ft. Wilderness. The launch from MK stops there anyway on it's way to FT. Wilderness, and I think it will save you some time.
