With all the RCID stuff going on there's been a pretty noticable uptick in brand new accounts posting on threads - I'm sure the staff & mods are probably having to deal with deleting a lot that we're not seeing, and they're doing a great job of keeping on top of it.
I wonder if there needs to be something set up to prevent brand new accounts talking in political threads. MacRumors (who, like WDWMagic use XenForo) have a system in place where topics with a 'politics' flag are restricted to people who've been a member for a specific amount of time and have a certain number of posts, the idea being it stops people popping on, posting something that's an obvious rule break and then vanishing.
I know it really shouldn't be needed on a site about WDW, and I know theres a general 'no politics' rule so people shouldn't be posting about it anyway, but it's possibly something to consider at least as a short term option until things settle back down.
