Stuff that's overpriced in Disney but you buy anyway

Join me, together we can rule the galaxy.
Vinylmations, any alchohol on property, pins, photo frames for me. Can't resist the frames for at least one photo from the last trip... I have more frames than I have room for in my office.

for me it is a balloon, my dear Darling Daughter got me in a weak moment and I bought her a Tinkerbell light up balloon, granted it did stay up and lighted until we got home. It is now cut up and used in her scrapbook from the trip.

I do buy t-shirts & hoodies but I was able to find some on clearance that we really liked. Since Dear Hubby and I both wear t-shirts & hoodies I get an XXL size and we both wear it. It makes us smile to put them on and remember the trip. I am a Pin collector and trader. The ones I trade I buy in bulk off of Ebay. I do wear pins on my purse, on my jacket and on my shirts. So for me the pins are not that big of a deal. Our first trip I did get a Snow Globe it took me all week to decide weather or not I was going to pay the price but it was worth it when every time I walk past it I smile and remember the joy on my Darling Daughter's face as we talked about which globe to get and which one we like better then the other. My Dear Hubby collects shot glasses~ or as Disney calls them Toothpick holders depending on what store your at LOL. We each got a snack on the dining plan and we would share whatever snack we got. Well all but the Dole Whip, I did not share my Dole Whip ;):oops::p:D:rolleyes:

We don't go every year or even every other year so having these things helps me to get to the next trip. I will admit that I wish I had gotten a few more things, like a picture frame I had fallen in love with but passed on because I didn't think I would "need" it. And the coffee mug since my Goofy mug broke while I was drinking tea 2 days after returning home.

We budget for souvenirs no matter where we travel and we work hard to stay within the budget we set and then we enjoy what we bought.

Yes it's pricy at WDW but it's pricy at any tourist place you go to. You just have to decide weather or not it's worth the price for you.:)

When I was a CM at Disneyland, we had CM Christmas parties, where regular guests had the leave early and we had the park all to ourselves. During the parties, food, including was sold at half price. I remember buying a churro for a little over a dollar and lunch cost me five bucks, including the drink. Not to mention merchandise was discounted at like sixty percent for Christmas. Since then, I haven't been able to look at those sky high prices the same again. Makes it even harder to buy food inside the park.
