Studio Backlot Tour to close for a near two month refurbishment in early 2014

The Backlot Tour always goes down for "refurbishment" for a few months atleast once a year during the slow time...I honestly have a hard time believing it isn't just an easy way to save some money for a few months. I mean how much is there to really refurb?

Why would they even waste there time and money. Face it. There is NO backlot at DHS. you get closer to a back lot at USF.

Thanks for posting—I enjoyed that jaunt down memory lane. It's been so many years since I experienced the original Back Lot Tour. Let's hope the future direction for that park highlights the "studio" themed attractions. Would love to see the full backlot restored.

Some of them were used in multiple shows/films. If I remember right, if you click the link on that page that refers to Studio Central (near the end of the descriptive stuff before the gallery) they have a list of what each one was. It's been awhile since I visited their site though. I should probably edit the mouseover copyright information on the gallery to include what house is what... maybe that can be a project for a slow day in the future for me. HAH!
