Strollers on monorail?

We went to WDW in February with a double umbrella stoller (quite wide). The CM's at the monorail station were very helpful, and allowed us to roll the stroller right up to and on the train. However, because of the gap between the train and the dock,(and crowded cars) it was much less troublesome to fold it up, step into the train, and let the kids sit in our laps. You'll be in line at the station long enough to allow you plenty of time to fold up your stroller without inconveniencing those less-than-understanding folks in line behind you.

I don't think folding strollers on the monorail is a rule. I know its not for the ferry. I know they really enforce folding them on the trams to the TTC.

If it's not a rule to fold it up, do it anyway if it is extremely crowded (early or late). Usually 2 people can fit in the space a stroller takes up. People really appreciate it. If it's not too busy, don't worry about folding it up if it's not a rule.

When we went to the Parks last November we did not have to fold our stroller on the monorail. None of that cast members said anything to us. We did have to fold it up every time we got on one of the busses. That can get tough when having to carry the youngest, watch a 3 year old and make sure we did not lose the 8 and 10 year olds.......

Single-wide strollers will have no problems rolling onto the Monorail. However, double-wide strollers will only fit in the wheelchair-accessable cars (middle of the train). Usually if you ask nicely, and there are no guests travelling in wheelchairs present, they will let you use it. However, if it is during a park exit, or there are wheelchairs, it is preferable that you fold the stroller prior to boarding.

In other transportation: Ferryboats, Cruisers, and Friendships allow strollers to be rolled on, however, the Launches must be folded.

Strollers must be folded as well for busses and parking trams.

I wish it was. We have actually had people refuse to move their strollers so we could get off the monorail and not fold an empty stroller so other people can get on. Most people I have seen have strollers the size of SUV's.

Trams and busses you can't have unfolded strollers. I remember seeing a couple on my last trip who had their kids OUT of the double stroller (because they used it as a shopping cart) argue with the bus driver for almost 10 minutes in the bus lot at EPCOT. Unfortunately, the bus driver caved in and let them put the stroller on unfolded... Everyone, including us, who were waiting to get on the bus (since they were the first in with the stroller) was getting pretty cheesed off to say the least cause we all had other busses to catch.

No, you do not have to fold it up for the monorail. It is kind of rude to take up all that extra space when the thing is crowded, but you can if you want to!

You do have to fold it up for the tram that goes out to the parking lot, though.

If the monorail is crowded, it is common courtesy to fold it. You will usually not be told to do so, but we always have in a crowd. Maybe I would have acted differently if one of the girls were asleep in the stroller, but that's never been the case when we've been in that position. Only one time can I remember CMs "encouraging" people to fold their strollers on the monorails. It was a night of massive monorail breakdowns and each one was standing room only.
