Hello all!!

I am in the process of planning an anniversary trip/first time trip for my boyfriend and I. It isn't my first trip, but it will be my first trip without my family and my boyfriend's absolute first time, so the pressure is on! I have a made a little itinerary, and I am remotely pleased with it but I am having trouble picking where to eat! We have the Disney Dining Plan and we are both big on eating, so the more "Family Style/Buffet" restaurants the better. We are open to anything though!! Suggestions to make our trip any more magical are greatly appreciated!! Here is our trip itinerary!!

Thanks everyone in advance and have a magical day!! :)

If you like buffets and family style might I suggest Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, Biergarten, Garden grill, O'hanna and Mickey's back yard BBQ. Via Napoli has pizzas in all sizes! There are so many wonderful places to eat! For cs Tangerine café, Cosmic Rays and Flametree have platters big enough to split and the French Bakery has so many choices to fill you up! And might I add Pecos Bill's has a fixings bar you can almost make a meal out of! Good luck and happy planning!

I agree with Figgy....actually we agree a lot:), I would do Chef Mickey's for breakfast, and Crystal Palace for dinner. You have 'Ohana on your plan and that is a fantastic choice, but make sure you get that at 180 days out, it books up really fast. Via Napoli and Garden grill are my two favorites at Epcot, and I would also recommend the Hoop de Doo Review...plenty of good food and a fun show as well.

You know me and my fiance are big on eating too but found that the buffets were our least favorite. We ended up choosing TS restaurants and still left pretty full, sometimes too full. Which can ruin the rest of park time! And if you look up the menu for each dinner buffet, they are almost the same.

I would suggest...

12/15 - Dinner @ Whispering Canyon Cafe (does all you can eat BBQ) and the Wilderness Lodge is so pretty, nice place to just stroll around. Or if you would be willing to skip buffets and family style places, Dinner @ Portobellos or Raglan Road in DTD, are both fun places with entertainment that might start your trip off on a fun relaxing note.

12/16 - Dinner @ Liberty Tree

12/17 - Breakfast @ Boma, Dinner @ Cape May Cafe (Which does a seafood buffet! and is only a quick stroll away from the Boardwalk!)

12/18 Quick Service All Day!

12/19 - Dinner @ Ohana's

12/20 - Dinner @ Via Napoli (they have large pizzas and it is loved by many on these boards) and Italy is so romantic! Or Biergarten (buffet style, and has a nice atmosphere.)

We really enjoyed Garden Grill at EPCOT. Not a Buffet, but they bring you unlimited portions of family style dishes, and the quality of those dishes is on par with the sit-down restaurants, and higher than the usual buffet stuff.

Biergarten is a fun restaurant if you enjoy German food. We enjoyed Liberty Tree Tavern's dinner too. Trying out breakfast at Akershus and Chef Mickey's this go around which we are really looking forward to. Good luck and lots of pixie dust!

WOW! Thanks so much!! I have heard that Via Napoli isn't worth the Dining credit? I'm guess that's not true? That was going to be our pick until I started reading bad things! :/

I think some people say that in terms of price that Via Napoli isn't worth a dining credit, it is one of the lesser yet still expensive restaurants, but the food seems to be outstanding. I cant say for sure, as I haven't ever been there myself (this sept, i will be trying it for the first time) but you can get one large pizza, topped anyway you like, with drinks and dessert for one credit each, so it might offer you the most food outside of a buffet.

We ate a Chef Mickey's the other day. It was awesome! We went for breakfast and it was good for us. Had all our favorites (french toast, waffles, eggs, potatos, fruit, etc) and the characters were great. The character meals are great for a first timer because you can see them without having to wait in line to meet them.
