When I go down to Disney for the Wine and Dine half-marathon, I am going to pick a night to eat the Kitchen Sink by myself. I think I have a good chance of finishing it but I wanted to hear what your strategies would be if you did the same thing.

Do it the night of the race. :D Come on, you know you wanna.

The whipped cream would kill me. I would need plenty of water to go along with it. I would also eat the ice cream first. That melts, and then turns to soup. The other stuff (cake, brownie, etc) will last longer and you can eat that at the end.

There is no way to eat the whole thing without feeling sick afterwards and throwing up. Also if you do even manage to do this, good luck getting to sleep that night from the biggest sugar high that you will ever be on. Then when the sugar does pass you will be on one heck of a crash. Depending on age and health this does take a toll on the body and possibly ruin your next day of fun or should I say maybe lack of fun. If you do go for it, I do wish you the best and hope you feel fine.

Practice at home. I believe the recipe is on here somewhere. Start by trying to eat a whole spray can of whipped cream, a brownie, cake, a couple of candy bars, bag of m&ms, i think 8 scoops of ice cream.

As was said already, prepare to throw it back up. The amount of dairy is not meant to go into the body that fast. If you do keep it down, prepare for the worst hangover in your life or prepare for a sugar coma.

Anyway, have fun doing it. Take pictures!!!! and show us!!!

I don't think there's anyway for you to finish it by yourself, but I think it would be best to pick your own flavors and only stick to a few. It melts pretty fast and some flavors don't blend well together. If I were doing it alone, I'd go with all vanilla, because I don't really like many other flavors outside of it and Cookies and Cream.

I would love to see Adam Richmond take this on during Man vs Food but just echoing what everybody has said no way you should take it on solo.

I was just thinking of Adam. He took on a massive ice cream challenge somewhere in San Francisco on one episode, and I think his conclusion was that having different flavors of ice cream when you're eating that much is a bad idea — any distinctive flavor becomes repulsive after so many bites, plus when they all melt together, you just get a noxious puddle of goop at the bottom. I'd definitely stick to vanilla...but beyond that, I just wouldn't attempt this at all.

Had the Kitchen Sink twice.. Both times had friends with me... We never finished it... I dunno if anyone could finish it alone.. Well, maybe this guy can:

^ With the way Travel Channel likes to pimp Disney, I'm kinda surprised they hasn't done this one already. He could spend the first few segments eating at interesting places like Jiko and V&A before tackling the Kitchen Sink at the end.

Bring several friends. :animwink: If you decide to go for it, I wish you good luck.

My family of 5 attacked this one night and we still couldn't finish it. The kids keep saying they want to try it again but I don't know if I'm brave enough.

No matter if it's just you or a few people - the trick to this is to order something very salty to pick on as you go (yes, I said order MORE food!) Fries are a good choice, put alot of salt on. The bulk of the potato will help with the liquid and squish out the air in your stomach from the whipped cream. Plus the taste contrast is helpful......However

That being said - no matter how well or poorly you do by yourself, you will throw up - body not meant to hold more than 1 gallon of diary
Enjoy:hurl:

I saw this thread and that's the first thing I thought also...Man v. Food! I'm pretty sure he hasn't done this challenge yet....perhaps someone can suggest it?

Perhaps before the challenge, they can also showcase some good dining options at the World.

I would love to see Adam Richmond take this on during Man vs Food but just echoing what everybody has said no way you should take it on solo.

Trust me, when I can make a trip up there I will. Me and my dad have been joking around about going up there to try it.
