Most character costumes are made onsite. Attractions, hotel, maintenance costumes are made in the USA. Last time I knew it was a small sewing factory in Eastern Georgia.

It's kind of hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks like from the concept art that Raven posted to the pictures we're seeing that they've lost their tails since the original concept. I kind of liked the tails. I also can't tell if the buttons on the front are real or not. It would have be nice if the buttons and braids were real.

Stop at a fast food place near Property at park closing times and it will look like the wardrobe department. I once was at a Wendy's and it was just different costumes everywhere.

Yep, same thing here after park closing at DAK and I would have to go to the HESS station on property to fuel up before driving back to Melbourne. It was quite common to see ALLL sorts of costumed CMs pumping gas, running in and buying some candy, etc. When every I would see young kids, though, I'd try to remain in my appropriate role of being from Dinoland and Camp Minnie Mickey, and invite all of my 'cousins' to come back and visit us find more dinosaurs! I liked to think of it as an extension of the parks out into the 'real world' (although it was still technically on-property).

They remind me of the prince from Little Mermaid, maybe they got the tent and LM mixed up.

They may just be the same standard issue for that area for both characters/CMs to wear the black short pants. It would be a nicer and less costly solution to the costumes I had when working at Chester and Hesters. We had a pair of shorts AND a pair of long pants to choose from depending on what the weather was supposed to be. Perhaps the 3/4 length pirate-y looking pants were a compromise and cost/time saving move. In oreder to issue only one type of 'bottom' item. Really, these are all just guesses on my part. And for what it's worth, I think they'll look great and right in with the time period.

The original new Dumbo costumes were tested at Everest. I've heard--but can't confirm-- that the tails had to be shortened because it wasn't safe for the CMs operating a roller coaster attraction.

There are still tails on the shirt, but I've heard they were meant to be longer.

Thanks for the pic Scuttle. I hope nobody gets in trouble for it.

I do like the costumes. Very nice.

Your welcome guys. No one is getting in trouble. I was told it was fine. Apparently a bunch of people were taking photos and it wasn't even a big deal.

Ah yes. I've had the sketches for about 6 months now and just haven't posted them.

The costumes for the rest of the new FL are pretty cool as well. I'll post those in time. :animwink:

Wait a minute--are we talking "manpris" here?

I thought man capris were strictly verboten by the fashion police?

I saw these costumes and loved them. My sister was in Florida and sent me a picture while she was there. I'm actually having a circus birthday celebration and I wanted to purchase it for the party. Is there a way that the public can purchase one of these costumes?

The park outfits are normally not sold in the parks...Although you may have a better shot if you look around ebay..
