Stormalong Bay Waterslide Refurbishment

The Stormalong Bay Waterslide is closing at some point this month for an indeterminate amount of time. I presume it will reopen by Spring Break, but no date is listed for its return.

Update: it should reopen in March.

Fingers crossed it actually gets done by then. Judging by their People Mover refurb and it's projected date getting pushed back over and over, among other project dates not opening when they're supposed to, makes me nervous that the slide won't be open when we go in April. Hopefully with spring break coming, it'll get fixed quickly!

I stayed there in October, and I can tell the waterslide needs some refurb. Every juncture in the slide is a little bit raised, and everyone I saw go on it talked about it hurting their backs.
