Stitch's Great Escape. High Level Conecpt to FIX IT

Even though no one from WDI reads this stuff (yea right.) I'm going to put this out there. I'll tell you, I am a CM at WDW. Per the papers I've signed this idea already belongs to WDW. So here it is. A HIGH LEVEL CONCEPT on how to fix Stitch.

Lets look at the new Turtle Talk with crush at Epcot. Now, here is a suggestion. We have a nice room with seats all facing an AA of stitch. Why couldn't we make it interactive? You are told you are going to "meet stitch" in a way never before possible. You enter the room, and sit down. It appears to be much as it is now. Thru the magic technology we have, we make stitch appear inside the room. Stitch then asks questions from the audience, he responds to their answers. He even demonstrates some of his odd powers and playfulness (bad breath, spitting, etc.)

We could even utilize the laser cannons, by saying that since we have brought stitch to LIFE; we do not know what he will do. The laser cannons are there to protect us. They could still be "examined" by stitch much as they are now. At the end of the show, they go crazy and start blasting stuff. Stitch can say something about "me getta outta here (that's my stitch voice..Sorry) and he activates the tube, transports out and away. We see him re-appear on TV at DL, DLP, HKDL, TDS etc, GF Hotel, etc.
Random each time.

This is all done in a FUN LIGHTHEARTED way.
No Two Shows are ALIKE as it's all done thru the live TT technology.

Think about this, this is THE NEXT STEP in AA and show development. The sort of thing WDI should be drooling after! How many time would you re-ride this? How many of you would have your jaw's drop when you can ask stitch almost anything and he responds and answers you? How many kids would be flat out wide-eyed in pure wonder and enjoyment?

We already have all the stuff in place. No major change to the room, no major new props. Just some new film clips, storyline and the new TT technology. I'll make this public by saying that if I were given a job at WDI, using this above IDEA as the starting point. Give me 8 months and this ride/show will be unlike any other and will be THE thing to see at MK.

That is my challenge. Anyone out there brave enough to step up and admit they are WDI and make this happen?

WOW! That's about all I can say after reading that. WOW!

Where in the world did you come up with that idea? That would solve virtually every problem that the attraction has. It would be fun and light hearted and it probably wouldn't be a total bore for adults. And it would also give it a chance to break away from Alien Encounter (for which it would never win that battle :animwink: ).

By gosh I think you've done it. But will this happen........nah. They'll probably just make a few minor changes and the same bad attraction will probably sit there for about 7 or 8 more years and a new show will come along. For the sake of Stitch fansand for the sake of anyone who enters the Magic Kingdom, I hope that I am dead wrong and THIS idea comes true.

I can picture this thing in my mind right now. All of the scary effects are done in a way that causes most children to instantly giggle. Man that would be so nice. They've already proven they can't out do Alien Encounter, so why not try for something totally different like this. It would also fix the problem that some people thought that AE and SGE both had, which was re-ride ability. I never thought I would EVER say this about something to do with Stitch, but you've got me kind of excited about this idea.

This idea has already been tested out. While testing the Turtle Talk technology, they installed a Stitch interactive show in the large Drawn to Animation theater at DCA. The experiment was a disaster as no one could understand a word Stitch was saying and most people got bored and left. Even if it were an animatronic and not a cartoon on a screen, I think the same thing would happen. Kids would be enthralled, Adults would be dazzled by the AA and then.......nothing. It would be the most lackluster show of all time.

Stitch could "Learn" to talk more clearly for the show, yet still keep the accent and some garbliegook. If we can have a show that does not explain how you got to the prisoner recruit center, and then can exit out the back door to earth. We can have a show that does not explain how stitch is able to talk more clearly (nevermind that we COULD explain this easily. The show is set AFTER the movie, NOT before. After the movie when stitch has learned many new things etc)

Heck, the kids could "teach" Stitch a new word during the show. Stitch could be talking and say some word that does not make sense. He could then point out what he is talking about on the video displays. The kids would then say what it is, and stitch could "learn" the word from them. Stitch then shows he has learned the word by doing something about it. For example, stitch does not know what a "Chili Dog" is. He says asks a boy in the audiences what this object is. The boy says "hot dog" or "chili dog" or "roses" or what have you. Stitch then replays and burps that smell. This could be anything, and each show could be a differnt smell etc.

No that honor has already been taken. And no I'm not talking about The Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management either.

Sorry, but TheLAzer has an awsome idea. The whole thing reminds me of being at EPCOT as a kid and talking to SmartONE at Communicore. The basis of the attraction has been done before with an AA. Maybe WDI could pull out the old R&D papers on SmartONE and review those. What a concept!!!:)

Now I hope I do sound too old because I remember SmartONE.

Well I'm 20 and I remember him like it was yesterday. So I don't think I would feel too bad at all

I usually skim over "New Attraction Idea" threads or avoid them altogether because they're unbelievably silly.

This, on the other hand...

Well, this is one of the best ideas I've read recently. Talk about fixing the show; as others have pointed out, this would create a whole new attraction genre! The script could loosely follow its current format, with Stitch being transported into the Magic Kingdom; but once Stitch arrived, the rest of the show--as well as its effects--would depend solely on the audience's participation.

Great idea, Thelazer!

Turtle talk was original Stitch...

I heard (from some one who knows someone who knows someone...) that the technology that makes turtle talk was actually started with stitch. It was tested in Disneyland or California Adventure to a small set of audiences.. Oh and the audiences loved it!..
I think the idea is okay, but I would hate to waste all of the effects and technology that are in the 2 chambers when a small room anywhere could have the same effect...heck it could just be part of the preshow...
Hu, kinda like that idea. While talking to SIR, they put a camera on Stitch and he is able to ask questions and interact with the 'security guards'.
Another idea would be to move your idea over to MGM, where any character could be brought to life...

They have a fountain at IoA that talks to the guests. Its a guy somewhere with a camera and some controls. Just do the same here. Higher some staff, it wouldn't be anyone sat at a fountain waiting for people, there'd always be guests. They could use this here. Nice idea. (Plus the fountain is hilarious).

Great Idea! But one minor detail...

It's a GREAT idea Lazer, to be sure. The only thing I'm worried about is that Epcot just released an attraction using similar technology (Turtle Talk) at the Living Seas, and another one opening just after the first might dilute the appeal for some people, not to mention making it harder to market as "new" or "unique." Although, Body Wars and Star Tours did almost the same thing, and they are still popular, but these other two attractions are not major, so I wonder if the crowds will be lower (Star Tours at MGM gets crowds are consistantly below its Disneyland counterpart). But still, it's an awesome concept!

Here's an additional thought: Think like how the old Mission to Mars attraction was like, except some added screens on the OUTSIDE of the theater seats! That way, Stitch can "move around" the entire theater, and can show up at the screen RIGHT NEXT TO the person he's talking to! Not to mention all of the extra effects and mayhem this could lead to!

P.S. Some people here don't seem to get what Lazer is saying. It's not going to be similar to the show as was at DCA, or one that tailors itself to a small room like Turtle Talk does (or the DCA show). The effects (and the show in general) will reach out into the WHOLE audience, not just a small room. It's fun for the whole family!

WOOHOO!!! POST #250! :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Has to be Superstar Limo

I'm up for this idea. Maybe not during this time, but for a future attraction.

No it's definately not Superstar Limo for a couple of reasons: 1 it's not a show and 2 I don't think SSL was as bad as SGE. Not by a longshot. Actually from the videos, SSL looked pretty fun in a corny sort of way.
