Did you see this stuff in person? This sure seems to contradict the word of loose lipped imagineer"Jon"aka Bill, aka BDisney86. I'm not doubting you because I don't know you,but others seem to make up alot of stories or contacts. Are you a CM?

Everything I've heard points to soft openings in late May to Early/Mid June. I think I'm gonna have to talk to Jon. If what you say is true, I have a few questions for Jon...

Oh, Jon's not me, he's an imaginner. Two different people. ;)
I'm more like a middle man. ;)

So has 13-year old Jon gotten anything right, yet? I'm still waiting...next you will be telling us Stitch will not open until October so that they can add Harry Potter to the preshow...

I've been sticking my nose where it doesn't belong lately and here is what I can tell you...

So far the only area heavily worked on has been the Pre-show(not skippy) the carpet has been ripped out all of the wall decorations (XS-TECH) removed , repainted a dark purple or maybe even black, and the televisions are gone, but I'm sure they will return and were just removed due to painting.

Skippy show room is still the same except skippy is still furless, and the last i saw of the chambers was all the chords hanging down were removed for cleaning and our dear alien MIA.

But the newest thing that the normal guests will notice is the blue "Pardon our Dust" wall around the entrance, however a new treat is the audio checks of Stitch you can walk by and hear him laughing and getting into mischief :o)

If i see or hear anything else I will post...one more thing, i know dates have been thrown around a lot about the opening, but the new one is that even the soft opening won't be until October. It is nowhere near done. But maybe they will get crackin over the summer.:sohappy:

Wow... Thanks for the update!

But what about all this "Oh its almost done and will soft open in May" Non-sense I have been hearing? :lookaroun :hammer:

*cough* Bill *cough* :zipit: :zipit:

I agree, my TL Source, as of last Friday, said the same thing. That it appears to be a mess in there with a lot of work to go. Way ahead of schedule report is not accurate. :slurp:

Personally, I'm going to do what I used to do... take the planned opening date that is publically announced... and add a good 3 months to it. Anything sooner is thereby a happy surprise!

"Dispatchinhibit" is correct. Stitch escape is No where close to being done. Every morning we have to walk right under the two chambers to get up the stairs that lead to Tomorrowland and there doesn't seem to be much progress.

They have ripped up most of the out-side que area, and when I had a chance to walk into the lobby, The carpets had been pulled out, the monitors were still up but covered, and the two chambers had most of the seats taken apart and wires hanging out of them.

I'm not sure how quickly they can get this attraction ready, but as of now, it's far from done.

I knew the early opening reports were false. Since when is Disney speedy with opening new attractions? And might I ask why a wall has been around Stitch for so long while NOTHING has been done to the outside. Is it really necessary to make Tomorrowland ugly and more cluttered by putting a blue wall there as they do nothing but paint the walls on the inside of the attraction? It just seems silly. They could at least put a "coming soon" advertisement on the construction wall so it isn't a complete waste.
