Stitch will have no height requirement

Stitch's Great Escape will not have a height requirement, my sources say. The restraint system can be used for guests of any height, though infants that can not sit on their own will not be allowed to ride.

no, the over the shoulder thing is still there. I guess it can be used even with short people?

maybe they figured that most little kids are under that height, so they put it to keep them from getting scared on the ride. that didn't really work though, when i went on last august a kid started crying.

I don't like this...

Them things are there to stop people from running around doing stuff...

That is why Philharmagic has to go down so much. Kids just up and run for the stage...BAM giving a auto-E stop

Besides them seats start to block your view if you are to small.

Only thing I can figure is that they are re-doing the seats. I WISH I COULD GO BACK THERE STILL!!!

How does having someone head for the stage cause an E-stop?

I have people up moving around, moving toward the front from the back of the theatre and nothing happened.

Interesting...makes me wonder what exactly is it they have changed in the attraction? Are the seats different...will the "theater" look different? I hope it isn't too boring....I can handle mild..as long as I'm laughing and having a good time.....they have big shoes to fill IMHO, AE was a great attraction....

Well there were alot of people on here that thought SGE would still have a few scary moments in there. I guess we know now that it better not. If it does just think of all the crying kids. Ouch.

Since the stage itself is a working moving item it has intrusion pads up there to e-stop the ride should anyone want to become one with there fav disney character.

I know this was a BIG problem when the ride frist started.

but how can it be like "it's tough to be a bug"?!?!?

I am so confused!

It's Tough to be a Bug is a very scary attraction for little ones... and there is no height requirement.

Stitch's Great Escape will be no worse then "It's Tough to be a Bug."

People are wondering if they took out all the scary parts from Alien... I assure you, all the effects that were in place for Alien Encounter will be used in Stitch's Great Escape. Even the broken glass effect will still be there. So don't worry. Though the theme is totally different, Stitch will still deliver. And the new plasma cannons that follow Stitch... these little things are pretty neat. At one time, WDI was thinking of using real fire from these things... needless to say, it was just an idea and won't happen. But they follow the genetic signature of Stitch. And when Stitch spits at you, these things fire. Pretty neat effect. :) So please, don't say you're not going to ride it just because you don't think it will be as good as Alien. :)

It's not that simple :). It wasn't just the effects that I liked about AE. It was the story, the set up and then the delivery. And the reason I might not see it is that I'm afraid that they aren't going to change enough of the building that it will still remind me of AE. And that will just make me depressed and nobody wants that on their vacation

And it's also not that I don't think SGE will be as good as AE, but I KNOW FOR A FACT I will not like it as much as AE. There's a difference between something being good and being as enjoyable. Kinda like the movie The Haunted Mansion. I didn't think it was a very good movie, but I enjoyed the heck out of it because of all the references to the ride. See what I mean?

Thanks for the descriptions though. It seems like it will be a good replacement for alot of people.

Interesting...I'm getting more and more excited about this attraction...if everything turns out the way you say, it sounds like it will be even better than AE...

It could be. And I certainly hope that people enjoy it.

But that is exactly the way I felt right before I got to ride Mission Space too. And I'll tell you right now I really like M:S (and I guess it's one of my top 10 or 15 favorite rides), but I'd trade it for Horizons any day. Let's hope for your sake that you do like it better than AE.

Well stitch has some pretty big shoes to fill. I guess Disney wants more kids in the park, cause Alien was surely not made with them in mind. But dont underestimate what Disney can do with stitch.

I'm surprised to see SGE not getting the height requirement. But then again, as Bill stated, it'll be no worse than It's Tough To Be A Bug, so what's the use of having one anyway? I do hope though that they'll warn some families and post signs stating that it'll be taking place in the dark and that there'll be some special effects that could frighten younger children.

As for SGE being better than AE, I'm sure many others will think that, but AE was the only attraction in the Magic Kingdom appealing to older kids and adults, whereas Stitch will be a humorous attraction appealing to the younger crowd once again. I don't know at this point of course if Stitch will oust AE, but my money is still going towards AE. :)

If stitch will not be as bad as ITTBAB then why do they keep the shoulder restraints? There must be some sort of intense sequence to keep kids from running around. And lets think about the great wonder of AE.
