Stitch is being removed from all of the signage around property. He is already gone from most of them and should be completely gone by the end of today. (9/4/02)

For those of you who haven't been here, Stitch "invaded" several of the standard signs and billboards around property. I suppose that the promotional period is over and he's being removed to return things to normal.

Is he gone from the Empire State Building at the Studios?

Although I was torn about having Stitch all over the place, I was kind of looking forward to seeing him on the Empire State Building.:(

The term "Waste of money" really comes to mind. Why create such things and then get rid of them so soon? :hammer: :hammer: They are still useful as advertising tools with regards to foreign visitors, eg. Lilo & Stitch has not yet come out in the UK (I think it happens in October sometime)
Although I saw it the day of release in the US I will still see it when it is released over here in the UK - It's a great film :D :D

Which film....the DVD of L&S or the sequel?

I am guessing the DVD of the original Lilo & Stitch since it comes out in December and L&S 2 hasn't really started (that I am aware of.)

Lilo and Stitch 2 has definatly started and so has work on a TV show. But they def should have left a few Stitchs up for the release of the DVD.

it's called advertising... don't worry, a UK media campaign will start, and will be as massive as the US campaign. Plus, WD Co US was the one who paid for those ads, so they chose when to pull them. If WDW Co paid, they'd be up till the damn thing was out on DVD... same if WD Co, UK did

Personally I think Disney's advertising department sucks. I think it's ads are amazing but the lack of money they put into airing these hilarious ads makes me upset. Let me say again... I love the copywriters and the content of the ads- its the department that choses where, when and how much they will air them that i dispize (sp?). Sure we see the ads more than normal people because we watch Disney Channel, ESPN, ESPNEWS, etc. but we will see these movies anyway. Disney needs to air their ads more on NBC, CBS and Fox during Prime Time. I don't understand why they dont do this.

Sorry to drift here, but speaking of advertising, I was driving down the Interstate tonight and saw a billboard for the video release of Monsters, Inc. Not a big deal, until I realized who owned the billboard. Down at the bottom was the Viacom logo, which as any familiar with other mega-corporations knows is the owner of Paramount Pictures, one of Disney's major competitor studios. Just thought it was kind of ironic.

First off, the Stich signs around WDW were cool.
Second, Lilo and Stich is coming on DVD and VHS on December 3rd.
And I do not have a third....darnnett!!

If what I read is correct, Lilo & Stitch is scheduled to be released on Video and Disney DVD on December 3.

:confused:By the way, why does Disney call it Disney DVD? Why can't they just call it dvd like everyone else?

Coming soon on Dreamworks DVD!

The sentimentality here reminds me of when Atlantis came out and we were walking through MGM and the female character(I didn't see it either) was standing all by her lonesome in the character line up and people were going "who?"
