Stitch AP Previews--OFFICIAL DATES

There is almost always some degree of public soft opening before AP previews. For MSpace for example, public previews took place months before AP Previews. The AP previews are relatively "hard dates", in that they are planned and advertised, so the attraction has to be ready at that time. The public soft openings before the AP dates can occur at anytime, as they are unannounced. I would say the order will more liekly be:

CM Previews
Public Soft opens
AP Events
Official Opening

Thanks much. I suspected that was the case. Looking forward to trying out the new attraction.

Thanks for the heads up. I remember being there during soft opens and thought the AP had already taken place. But, guess that it was between soft opens and the public previews that it took place.

I see the soft opens and public previews separate since they allow many more people to try it during the previews. Whereas the soft opens could go for hours with no one getting to ride / view.

:lookaroun Did somebody say CM previews.... You don't mean we have cast members on these boards? :lookaroun

I'm sure everyone will hear all about it as soon as the first CM's are able to get inside and bask in the wonder that is Stitch.

Quick note: Disneyworld.com has a semi-fun Stitch Puzzle game that if you complete, you get a fun certificate that, if you take to the fine folks at City Hall in the Magic Kingdom, anytime AFTER the opening date, you are supposed to get a cool Stitch sticker. More on the Sticker when we get them at City Hall.

Wel, this just makes my bad day at work complete! We're there October 8-15 and I had my fingers crossed that just maybe we might see it, if only on a preview basis.

Like a previous poster, we're going to DLR in 2005 then back to WDW in 2006. At least with SGE not opening in October, I should be able to see COP one more time

Crap, one more reason to be mad at myself for not buying an AP when I went in July. I didn't because I thought TDS cast members still got in the parks for free (like last year) and I new there was a good chance I'd be a cast member again (which I am). So, I bought a regular hopper pass and now I not only have to buy another hopper, but I have to miss AP previews for Stitch.

Any chance of the public getting to see it between November 10-15? I really want to see this...

Oh well I guess there's always next year.

Well, unfortunetely Austin, I don't believe there will be anyway that the attraction will be operating in any capacity by these dates, especially if construction and finishing touches are delayed by yet another hurricane. As much as it pains me to say it, IN MY OPINION, it will not be operating, however, there is always some sort of hope.

Good luck, and I hope you won't let one non-operating attraction ruin a magical vacation.

Yep, me too!
Oh Well,
with my plans to go to California to DLR next year for the 50th, I guess my 2006 trip to WDW will be very busy with new stuff:

-Stitch
-Everst (!!!)
-Soarin' (although I will get to experience this at DCA, and it doesn't sound like it's gonna change for WDW when it first opens)
-Motor Stunt Show

WOW- I think that will be the most new stuff to ever go do, outside of a new park opening.
Looking forward to 2006!

My next trip is 2006, so it will be a great trip for me two, but also, its about 20 months until I next go, who knows, some other things might change, I doubt a new attraction though, (but please but something in 20k! That would make my year, another new attraction!)

Enjoy all you lucky annual passholders!

Schools by me in NJ are out for 3 days that week, Election Day and annual Teacher Convention (Thursday and Friday), so there will be a lot of Jersey people there. My guess is that everyone, like me, is flying home at that time.
Thanks for the info on Stitch, I'll need to make sure I get over there.

Thanks for the info - that's how I was hoping it was but I wasn't sure. I'm going to be there a week and a half before the AP dates, and attending two of the late-month MNSSHP's, so I have been hoping they'd do a very soft preview during one of those.

I'm gonna treat it like a free room upgrade - I definately won't count on it, but I'll be on the look out and be pleasantly surprised if I do get to "ride", so to speak. If not, just something else to look forward to on my next trip!
