Stinking online system....

I'm sitting here trying to buy the first set of MNSSHP tickets and the system doesn't want to recognize my CC. It's really annoying to get the error message AND CC declined message. Everything is correct and there's no issues with our account, it's just their crappy system. This happened when I tried to pay off the balance, I had to call it in. I usually try not to speak ill about folks but whoever's in charge of the site needs to be fired.

Ahhhh, thanks for listening....:banghead:

Anytime money or payments or purchases of any type of tickets, events or payoffs are involved - I always....did I say always?? I always call! I had an incident happen about 5 years ago where I put in all my CC info etc to pay off my trip....it wound round and round "thinking"...then disappeared. I was like WTH?? LOL Did my payment get taken or not? Bank account showed no debit but you always have that...did it get taken or not in your head. After calling WDWTC - she advised nothing was deducted and the payment wasn't taken. Of course I'm still thinking..yeah they got the $$$ but after waiting 5 days and calling again, they had not. So I just made the payment with the reservation agent right then and there. Now I always call. Events, tickets, payments. I call. It's worth 10 minutes of my time to not get aggravated.:D

Last year using the old website I could make payments with a debit/gift card. This year when I got around to book it on the new website the same card was declined twice! I had to use my credit card and forego using the card I got specially for Disney expenses :banghead:

While I agree that it's best to call in these scenarios, in this day and age, it's a pretty sad commentary that a major corporation such as Disney has such a glitchy system that you feel like you need to call.
I agree but it seems to always be the case. Although I've never had a problem just buying event tickets though.

I never had any problem with the old system, but since they changed to the new one it is nothing but problems so you have to call about everything. And now you get the added aggrivation of hour plus hold times when you call because of everyone calling in switching all there stuff around so they can get free dining.

That's exactly what happened when I tried to pay off our balance last month. I called and the lady told me that if it was accepted it would have been instant. I told her that whoever is in charge of the website needs to be put in timeout.

I paid off our balance online last month and it worked ok. Now with that being said, I haven't been able to link my dining reservations since I made them. Since the day I booked, I get some message about difficulties with their reservation system.....blah blah blah. That is horrible. From someone who works in IT, issues should have been resolved long ago.

Interesting. Going to do a payoff soon and was planning to use the online system. Never had a problem before. Also bought MVMCP and MNSSHP tickets online without any issues. Hope I can keep this trend going. :)

I found this to be a browser issue earlier this year when I purchased my tickets for MVMCP. If it doesn't work for you with your normal browser, try a different one.

I just purchased a ticket to MVMCP and printed it off. No problem there. But I tried to link the ticket to My Disney Experience and there isn't an option to do it. It would be great to have it linked in. Oh we'll.

I had a little glitch with the online system and it charged me for my entire package - twice! This was for a 10 days stay, 2 resorts (a mod and a deluxe), park hopper, meals so it was a big amount to be overcharged. I called to have the second charge reversed and they did but said it will take a few days to show up.

The catch was that the exchange rate changed (Canadian/US) and the transaction fees for a cross border refund caused me to now lose out on $245.00. It took 2 weeks to resolve as they said on their end they refunded me the exact same amount that they overcharged me and I said I didn't care because I shouldn't be out over $200.00 because they made a mistake.

Happened to me a few days ago when I called in. They had to transfer me to guest services and whatever they did worked. Call tomorrow and see if they will help you?

If you figure out a way to do that, let me know how you did it. :)

The system stinks even when you are there in person! We were in the process of checking into the Poly this morning (room only reservation) and our credit card was "not acceptable." A call to the bank showed no issues on our end, it was a Disney error. Another phone call from the cast member to IT and our card was accepted.
